Amy Winehouse Remembered by Goddaughter Dionne Bromfield One Year After Death

Amy Winehouse‘s goddaughter Dionne Bromfield sheds a tear while standing outside her late godmother’s old apartment one year after her death on Monday (July 23) in London, England.

The Grammy-winning British singer passed away at the age of 27 exactly one year ago today. Her death was ruled “death by misadventure,” or without the intention to do harm, from drinking too much.

“Thank you for all your beautiful messages…Amy loved you all and is definitely looking down on all of us! Gone but NEVER forgotten! xxx,” Dionne tweeted that afternoon.

Dionne Bromfield’s Tribute to Godmother Amy Winehouse

I believe in angels the kind that heaven sends
Amy you are surrounded by angels who are your friends.

Its been a year since you left and I still think about you everyday.
I might not show emotion in public but i just love and miss you
in my own special way, like when we were alone together.

I think of your face and tears roll from my eyes, you were my
inspiration, my mentor, my biggest fan my one true confidante
you were my world.

I know your in a better place and you were to young to die that is what
hurts so much. God broke our hearts to prove he took the best.
God gave you a special gift as sweet as can be your own precious
angels to watch over you.

There is one thing thats plain to see, that one day we will meet again
until then you will always remain in my heart as I write this I sit and
cry remembering the good times and the last time we were together.
The fun we had and you dancing on stage with me, the big hug and
kisses you gave me.

No matter what people say to me you were the best! you had a heart of gold
with so much kindness sometimes I pinch myself and wish you would come back
I will never forget you! Amy you are my best friend, I love you so much. ♥

The perfect example of someone who succeeded and had a very good future ahead but was never happy. Her voice was incredible. I miss her songs.

@MileyCyrusRocks:

I doubt God would want you to use his name when all you’re doing is bad mouthing the dead. You may not have liked her but show some respect, she has family, friends and fans that miss and love her. Yeah, she had her problems, but who are you to mock her when she’s dead?

@MileyCyrusRocks:
Human beings are not perfect, and wherever you believe in Allah, God or Krishna… you should know this and not judge anyone.
Talentless you’re a miley fan so what do i know

@MileyCyrusRocks: plus, who doesn’t have problems and its not for us to decide who goes to hell and who ends up in hell. Let God be thee judge.

Something’s off with this girl. Those tears look fake – a show for the paps. And the days after Amy’s sudden death Dionne was still able to perform and some of the comments she made were really strange. She said things like: “she wasn’t just my friend and godmother…she was my boss”. Sounded like she was more concerned about the future of her own career than the loss of a friend. I think Amy loved her for sure…but Amy could love anyone. Dionne however…I just don’t know about that girl. I think she’s using her closeness to Amy as a way to benefit her own career.

…or maybe Dionne’s just emotionally immature and hasn’t learned to process her emotions yet or something. I don’t know…

this is the fakest cry i have ever seen
