I just don’t understand the hype with 50 Shades. It is the worst book I have read in basically forever. And it definitely makes me sad that it’s this type of book that is being hyped about in the media. The sex scenes aren’t even hot, they’re just stupid (unless if you think pulling a tampon out of a girl is sexy). I’m not usually judgmental, but after reading 50 Shades I did wonder if people enamored with it are even educated because it so poorly written, the plot was so predictable, I just don’t understand how anybody can enjoy it. And I am ashamed to say after reading the first book I bought the second and third ones thinking they would be better; it actually got worse and a few pages into the third book I finally got my senses back and stopped. I don’t think it’s true, but I hope Emma does not associate herself with such literacy crap.

@Sunny: I read the reviews on Amazon and they were terrible. They say that even teenagers would not have written so poorly and that the “writer” repeats the same words countlessly.
People who are into erotic books should try Delta of Venus by Anaïs Nin. She was a TRUE writer.

Why is everyone obsessing over these books?? I don’t get it. And I actually hope that Emma has some sense and refuses the role if the rumors are true. She’s too classy for that trash!

NO, plis. She is not Anastasia Steele. Anastasia Steele is Kristen Stewart and Christian is Robert. Is the desire of the author.

She doesn’t have the porcelain doll prettiness combined with edginess quality that I would expect Anastastia to have. She is too much on the straight and narrow, we need someone a little more alternative to bring the role to life. Alexis Bledel definitely looks the part- but I also like Emma Stone because she is very quirky and could pull it off well.

    Grace Says:

It should be Emilia Clarke as Anastasia and Gosling as Grey, enough said.

    Stephanie Says:

There is no way that she could pull off Ana. They are starting to tick me off with the picks for this film. They need underground actors who are raw and fresh. NO HIGH NAMED ONES! Come on seriously, this film has to be rated X or NC-17 because not many people would show their body parts like that for the big screen. If Hollywood ruins this book for me, I am going on a rampage of not watching anything for a year.

    Ciridian Says:

At first I was hesitant but now I actually think that Emma will make a great Anastasia. It’s also a really great adult role that should put Harry Potter behind her.

As much as I love Alexander, he’s too old for the part. Has there been any discussion about Chase Crawford? He could make an excellent Christian Grey….right age, just about the right height, model looks and the right demeanor to pull off the attitude. That I would like to see!!

    Annemarie Says:

I DISAGREE. I swear Kristen Stewart is probably the only one that fits the most with Ana’s description.
