  • Denise

  • somali girl

Let’s hope the beached whale A.K.A beYAWNce does not win.

  • Alaia

These nominations are a howler. My personal favourite is the category ‘Best Video with a Message’.

And worst of all, they nominated Demi Lovato in that category, the chick that dresses like a whóre. I’ll be laughing at that for a few days.

  • Geetika

    FUN. FUN. FUN.

  • Ev

It’s like they go out of their way to have such crappy nominees. One Direction? lol. They are a product of some crappy manufactured reality TV show. Rihanna? Can that chick hold a note? We’ve all heard her perform Hero. Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato? Are 9-year-olds voting for this thing?

Beyonce? AGAIN? with no single hit video nominated?
wondered how much she payed for again ! this is a joke

  • Sophie

seriously katy perry? 4 nominations? if she performs wide awake like she did at the billboard awards I’m going to have to change the channel like YIKES it was sooo bad.

  • GGGive

    gooo rihanna!!!
and i’m suprised for m.i.a’s bad girls getting so many nominations!! i love her!! go m.i.a

  • ania

just one nomination for Kelly Clarkson?! you’ve got to be kidding me!

  • Meg

why is beyonce still getting awards for a cd that came out 2 years ago it feels like. LOL

  • Lailah

    I love One Direction, #dealwithit.

  • Hello

@Lailah: No, honey. I think that’s something you’re going to have to do with. They suck.

  • Mimi

Who cares about this flop award show.

  • lulu

Nothing against Beyonce but best choreography for Countdown? She stole that choreo from a Belgian choreographer!!!

  • the truth

I don’t know what crawled up half of your ass, because Demi is talented. She pours her struggles into her music and is an amazing SINGER. She deserves her nomination. Skyscraper is an inspiring song. Don’t let her past fool you. One Direction, KP, Selena Gomez, Rihanna, and the Biebs, are SH*T. I tried sitting through their live performances and they ALWAYS fail to deliver- admittedly Zayn can sing well enough- just stuck in a talentless group. Calling them artists is a stretch. One nomination for Kelly Clarkson is a farce. She is so underrated. Why is Beyonce still nominated. There’s nothing original about her!!!

  • ivelisse

@gisele: you REALLY need to experience real music and talent if your idea of a world icon and talent is J.Lo…

  • haha

The nomination this year is a big bullshit! It used to be so good at britney, xtina, justin, arvil, p!nk time and now … wow selena gomez best female video wow….. its not the kid choice award btw

  • Anytime

Where the hell is Kelly Clarkson’s Stronger, Mr. Know it all? Justin Bieber for video of the year and Selena Gomez for BEst female video? WOW! such a shame for VMAs! They rather put a Justin Bieber & Friends nomination than this shit nomination list

  • Carol

i just CAN’T believe Regina Spektor was nominated!! She’s too good for this award show. omg

  • Teri

    Is This a Joke??

  • Carrie

Beyonce, Katy, Rihanna, Bieber…..It’s the same nominees every year….What about Foo Fighters? Radiohead? Doesn’t anybody know any REAL music anymore..

  • Kelly

Remember the VMA:s in the 90′s, we had Nirvana, Chili Peppers,Pearl Jam etc. Now we have Katy Perry,Rihanna,Nicki Minaj. How the times have changed….

  • AARA

I thought Lana del Rey’s “Born to Die” was going to nominated for more stuff, that video was slick and really interesting. “We Found Love” is my pick for video of the year, she’s going downhill fast, but that video was just electrifying.

  • J

  • Dooley

Katie Perry a bigger star than Gaga now.LOL!!!

  • Chrome

If none of you have anything good to say than shut up. If you don’t like the nominees than don’t watch the show. Oh and Beyonce cd came out last year for those of you can’t count the years.

  • jjlahams

    foster the people – houdini?

  • Anna

I don’t know if this was eligible, but I thought Radiohead’s “Lotus Flower” video was genius and fun (genius because of Thom Yorke’s seizure-like, but funny dancing)! Surely that video should have got a nomination.

  • Anna

Happy for Coldplay though! Can’t say the same for most of the other nominees. (Actually can’t even believe Coldplay–along with few other bands–are in there with most of those “artists”).

  • Andrea

COLDPLAAAAAAAAAY <3, even tho i hate the fact that Rihanna sang with them, but still love the baand.

  • She Stinks!

JNO Talent for best choreography? Is her little boy lover going to get a grammy before her? I hope so – it would be a great slap in the face for JHO Bag, and hit to her over inflated ego. She is so talentless.

  • leo

  • Ali

why is not Jessie J in that list!!!!???!!!!!!

  • S

I’m shocked there is no Gaga or Britney.

  • lopezzzzzzzzzzzz

Can I vote contra JHO? )) her choreography is really so stupid

  • Light

No Florence and the Machine? Ah ah, seriously?!

  • http://@lindseyralls Lindz

Vote for Fun. and Gym Class Heroes! Stomp out Call Me Maybe!!

  • Cammie

Even though it’s for a collaboration I’m so glad to see Janelle Monae on the list. She is transcendentally talented.

  • Вова Иванов

ну пиздец…. а Лана Дель Рей где ?!

  • Carmine

Nothing against Beyonce but best choreography for Countdown? She stole that choreo from a Belgian choreographer!!!
