David Beckham Covers 'Esquire UK' September 2012

David Beckham is rugged as can be on the cover of Esquire UK‘s September 2012 issue.

Here’s what the 37-year-old soccer star had to share with the mag:

On how he wants to be remembered: “I want to be remembered firstly as a good and successful footballer because that’s what I’ve done for many years. And then who knows after that?”

On posing with his clothes off for advertisements: “It’s definitely got easier over the years, but when I was in New York, seeing a huge poster [of himself in a pair of briefs] on the side of a building, that was quite daunting.”

On being friends with the royals, Prince William and Prince Harry: “It’s a very normal relationship. With Harry as well. They’re very easy to get along with.”
