'Weeds' & 'Dexter' Stars: Showtime's TCA Tour Panel!

Showtime’s leading television stars from the hit shows Weeds and Dexter hit the stage at the 2012 Television Critics Association summer tour at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Monday (July 30) in Los Angeles.

WeedsMary-Louise Parker and Hunter Parrish, accompanied by Justin Kirk, Kevin Nealon, Alexander Gould, and writer/producer Jenji Kohan, and Dexter‘s Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter, sat on the panel and answered some gripping questions about what is in store for our favorite characters next season.

“Whatever your opinion about the ranking the seasons, Dexter is never more compelling than when he is in trouble,” Michael said about the upcoming season of Dexter. “And he’s never been in deeper trouble than he is now.”

“I just cried when I read it,” Mary-Louise said about the final script of Weeds, which is concluding it’s run this year.

I hope I look as good as Mary Louise Parker when I’m 47!
Hunter Parrish…man that guy is looking better than ever!!!!
I will miss Weeds soo much! As a fan you have to accept that it was time for its end. It had a great run.

Dexter…love that show as well.

I find Dexter to be a really disturbing show. I can’t watch it. It encourages people to have sympathy for psychopathic murderers, and I don’t see the point in that.

@may: it’s not like it’s aimed at kids or something, the people who watch this show are fully grown and perfectly capable of not letting themselves be influenced by it (if not then they are the ones with psychological problems), Dexter is or at least was up until season 5, a brilliant show and it’s brilliance resides exactly in messing with people’s moral compasses, it takes great writing/acting to get you to root for a serial killer, the point in that is not to make everyone think it’s ok to be a psycho but to do TV in a different less obvious way, and in today’s world when with the appalling variety of reality shows and 50 versions of the exact same cop show what shows like Dexter do is really important.

Hunter looks like a blonde god in that pic.

Two of the best shows on the air, without a doubt. MCH and MLP are brilliant in their respective roles.
