Oprah Winfrey: All Natural on 'O' Magazine!

Oprah Winfrey lets it all out on the cover of the September 2012 issue of O magazine, on newsstands August 7!

Here’s what the 58-year-old television personality, who wore her hair naturally for the first time on the magazine cover, had to say:

On the benefit of changing hairstyles: “I even notice a change in my dogs when they get their summer cuts: they’re friskier and livelier, feeling more themselves once the weight of the hair is released.”

On makeovers: “Those in which something inside the receiver clicks, aligning with that which is being received. The only way to real transformation is through the mind.”

I saw it yesterday and I love it. At the same time hate the criticizing from many black women more worried about Gabby’s hair not being European enough. Those particular African American women who can’t bear the thought of wearing their hair like Oprah and are embarrassed instead of proud of both Oprah and Gabby’s accomplishments are human beings I have no use for. Now I’m going to blast India Irie’s “I AM NOT MY HAIR.”

That is not Oprah’s natural hair. She has had as much styling done as when she has her hair straightened. She likes to keep up with the styles and natural is in, only few of the women wearing the natural style are exhibiting their natural hair. Black women keeping making attempts to have hair that is acceptable to non-blacks. For the majority of them it is not possible. Supposedly the natural look is getting over as what is natural but if you take a look at Gabby and Whoppie Goldberg, they have hair that is closest to natural black hair. I say all this to say that I wish there would not be so much made of what women, any women, do with their hair. It’s what’s inside that counts and it is not up to anybody else to approve or disapprove of somebody’s grooming get-up.

enough with the advice, Oprah. enough. I like her, but I am so over this approach. When she started her OWN channel, with NO PROGRAMMING, that was the end for me. She wanted people to watch just because she was Oprah. Big mistake. i hear she is making a movie. That’s a good idea. A whole new career doing something other than being the “teacher.”

This is her idea of increasing the sales

That’s why u don’t have men, because you r hung-up on hair. If that’s all you think about, then you need mental help. Even Jesus can’t help, he tried. That’s y black men want other women because most of you are insecure about yourself.

Don’t know about this issue, but on most of Oprah’s O magazine covers she has been airbrushed and retouched quite a few time. The tabloids show more realistic photos of her.
