Meryl Streep: 'Hope Springs' Premiere with Steve Carell!

Meryl Streep is all smiles at the premiere of her film Hope Springs held at the SVA Theater on Monday (August 6) in New York City.

The 63-year-old actress was joined at the premiere by her co-stars Steve Carell (who was accompanied by his wife Nancy Walls) and Tommy Lee Jones, as well as director David Frankel.

“I didn’t even need to read it,” Steve told the Huffington Post about being offered the role in the film alongside Meryl. “You hear something like that — you’re invited to be a part of something with [Meryl] — you just say, ‘Yes’,” Steve added.

“And she not only lived up to, but exceeded any expectations I had of who she would be.”
