Amy Adams: 'Into the Woods' Opening Night!

Amy Adams hits the red carpet in a Lanvin dress following the opening night performance of her show Into the Woods on Thursday (August 9) in New York City’s Central Park.

The 37-year-old actress stars alongside True Blood‘s Denis O’Hare and theater legend Donna Murphy in the outdoor production of the famed Stephen Sondheim musical.

In Into the Woods, a witch’s (Murphy) curse condemns the Baker (O’Hare) and his Wife (Adams) to a life without children. They embark on a quest to find the four items required to break the spell: the cow as white as milk, the cape as red as blood, the hair as yellow as corn, and the slipper as pure as gold. Will they succeed? And what happens after “happily ever after?”

Although I cannot stand this play, I bet she is good in it! Amy would almost be worth sitting through this awful show just to see her in it!

She will win and deserves an Oscar.. She is inspirational!

This a not for profit production, tickets are free and it’s in a beautiful open air theater in Central Park. They’ve just extended too, so if you get a chance to see it go. It’s a fantastic production with a top notch cast and Amy’s great now she’s hit her stride.
