She was quite terrible in Thor.

    Looking naturally rosy and pretty.

I really like her! She looks awesome without makeup. One thing I’ve always respected about Natalie is how she never buys into the Hollywood image. That alone makes me fan! (:

@Jane: She was indeed terrible in that movie – if she is that great an actress as she wants everybody to believe, she would have had no trouble with a simplistic character like the one she played in that movie. She is mediocre at best.

i find her cute but not “gorgeous” as most people see her. she doesn’t look israeli to me either. lol.

Jane a simplistic character? i suppose for someone like yourself that would be true. oh, by the way; Natalie has the Oscar for Best Actress; and you?

Wow, maybe Natalie had a baby Einstein because he already knows how to troll on Just Jared :p
Natalie has always know she has the hottest ticket in Hollywood because she’s beautiful, relatively intelligent, Jewish, and plays her cards well around the press. But gosh darn it, she has never acknowledged her mediocrity as an actress because in my humble opinion, she gives uninspired performances. I wish she would.

    *cough* Says:

She doesn’t move me one bit with her work onscreen. She’s gotten ahead for one reason, because of her religious background. And everyone knows who runs Hollywood.

    apple Says:

I don’t really think an academy award is proof of a good performance. There have been a lot of nominations and omissions that made me think the academy loves to award the Hollywood boys and girls, the people who play their cards right, the people who campaign for the Oscar and know the right people in the industry. It seems more like nepotism than real acknowledgement of talent.

you’re free to think what you want. however, Natalie does have the Oscar which has in turn opened the doors to many more roles. whether you personally like it or not. by the way, Natalie is not only going to be in Thor, the Dark World but if certain people here in LA have their way she will also be in another film project that has been given the green light. it goes with out saying that directors and their casting agents are far better judges of real talent than you are.

    Michelle Says:

I think the oscar just closed all the remaining doors … no offense but she chose better movies back then, i.e. Closer, Graden State, etc.

  17. 17
    Danuuu Says:

@*cough*: No, she’s gotten ahead for one reason and that reason is George Lucas. Without him she’d be just another forgotten child actress.

  18. 18
    AnakinlovesPadme Says:

Yes, Star Wars did put her on the map that’s true and she was really the only on to capitalize on the recognition and or came through the prequels unscathed lol.

    HandsOffNatalie Says:

she very nice but, she is just average actress. I don’t think she will ever make great movies. She is te new Julia Roberts, ok for funny comedies but that’s all.

    Wey Says:

Garden State was SO overrated. And Natalie is an overrated actress. Her best performance was in Leon, in my opinion. But she has a beautiful face, that is what has given her career. Black swan was all right I guess but it sort of missed the point. They should have pursued the psychological angle more in a dramatic way, and skipped the science fictiony stuff.

  21. 21
    Wey Says:

The thing with child actors is that their life has revolved around the business. They have no real-life experience to draw from, so their performances are usually superficial. Same with directors. They start so young, and most of them come directly from film school. Their life has revolved around studying movies, not reality. Life.
