hope SPRINGS, not hope FLOATS, omg, like perez hilton on this site……

IMO Renner did his best, but movie was a borefest, bad script, peeps already saw TDKR, it just lucked out. Prob wont be no. 1 again next week

I love Meryl.

but if this was a lot of other female celebrities the headline would be so and so bombs.. this move opened on Wednesday.. 14 million over 5 days. Other actors get the bomb headline when they make 19 or 20 something million over the weekend.

Wow double standard..

Bourne Legacy was expected to beat TDKR since it’s been out weeks. That’s the reason Legacy’s premiere was moved back a week. Put more distance between it and TDKR. The fact it made $40M is a good thing. It was predicted to make $30, so exceeding that figure means good thing for the Bourne franchise and Jeremy as a leading man.

TDKR is about to reach 400 million domestically, and is over 800 worldwide! The film will be opening in the middle east later this month! Italy will be released next month, China sometime later this year.

Next milestone: 1 Billion

Christopher Nolan will have two billion dollar grossing Batman films in his trilogy!

- Great start for Bourne Legacy, but I see it slipping fast once Expendables 2 is released.

- Total Recall is one of the biggest bombs released this year, along with: John carter, and Battleship.

- The Campaign did amazing. The film now has the highest opening weekend EVER for a political comedy.

- Modest placement for Hope Springs. However, it did have 5 days for potential growth for moviegoers.

I don’t see why they couldn’t keep Matt Damon as Jason Bourne, even though I like Jeremy Renner and he’s playing a different character than Bourne but I still would have liked to have seen a few more Bourne movies before Renner’s character Alex Cross came into the mix. Oh well, it looks like a good movie though.
