Isla‘s new film Bachelorette was just released on VOD and iTunes! The film is about three friends (Fisher, Kirsten Dunst, Lizzy Caplan) who are asked to be bridesmaids at a wedding of a woman (Rebel Wilson) they used to ridicule back in high school.

    I agree. She’s no actress. She’s very cute, but I think her major talent is being married to Sacha Baron Cohen. If they weren’t a couple, she’d be back in London doing kids’ holiday pantomines and screwing Rothschilds or back in Australia playing the mom on soaps instead of the cutie pie soap roles that launched her career.

    Yeah, that does seem backwards, doesn’t it? Going direct to video on demand and iTunes means that the studio doesn’t expect it to do well in theaters. Otherwise, they’d run it in theaters for several weeks and then release the video six months later. That’s what’s typical.
