Beyonce: Anderson Cooper 360° Interview for 'I Was Here'

Beyonce opens up to Anderson Cooper in an interview on his CNN show Anderson Cooper 360° to talk about her “I Was Here” music video, which will be released in conjunction with World Humanitarian Day.

“It says, ‘I want to leave my footprints in the sands of time’ and it basically is all of our dreams, I think. And that’s leaving our mark on the world. I feel like we all want to know that our life meant something,” the 30-year-old singer explained about the song.

“We all have our purpose, and we all have our strengths…it feels so wonderful to do something for someone else. And I think for the U.N. to want to include the whole world was something important, and I feel like that’s what I represent,” Beyonce told Anderson.

Check out a preview of the interview below and catch the full clip on Anderson Cooper 360° tonight (August 15) at 8pm and 10pm on CNN!

I like Beyonce as singer but I don’t believe she’s doing this out of the goodness of her heart. She always has an agenda and the speech sounded horribly scripted.

Also in the ending she she says “For the UN to include everyone in something so important, and that’s what I represent”, what does that mean exactly.

I think this was a misstep on the UN’s part. Beyonce is the last person I think of when thinking about World Humanitarian Day.

She needs to quit trying, she’s beyond fake. She really took fake to a whole new level. We all know she’s a whole team, it isn’t just her. She’s a marketing product by excellence. Drop the act Bey, you ain’t even that big of a star.

    Thief Says:

Now both you & i know that what she wants is that cash, and not to “spead positivity” like she claims in this video, don’t we? Her PR are good but she’s a bad actor, lol when Anderson cuts her, she says “in Baghdad” real quick and then comes back to her “speech” so that she won’t forget the two sentences that she’s been rehearsing for hours.

I cannot believe that nearly all of these comments so far are bitching about her, i dont get why use all think she is so fake, i have not seen one thing to say she is fake, to me she is a decent human being and actually cares about helping people. If this was anyone else that use all like saying it use would not moan about it being a rehearsed speech.

    @FluffBall:

    HOLYWATER Says:

Spread positivity? LOL Be HONEST FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE BEYONCE! TELL THE WORLD THE TRUTH. YOUR INTENTION IS TO DETOUR YOUNG WOMEN AND MEN AWAY FROM WHAT IS GOOD AND TOWARDS EVIL. THE SAME EVIL THAT HAS GIVEN YOU $$ AND FAME. BEYONCE IS NOT MEMBER OF THE ILLUMINATI. SHE IS A SATANIST, WHICH IS FAR WORSE. SHE LIVES TO DECEIVE. SHE IS SATAN’S SERVANT. HER ROLE IS TO DIRECT THE YOUNG TOWARDS SERVING SATAN. I CAN’T EVEN LOOK AT HER FACE BECAUSE I AM VERY SENSITIVE TO FEELING THE PRESENCE OF GOOD AND EVIL. I CAN FEEL A VERY BAD ENERGY COMING FROM BEYONCE. SHE NEEDS TO GO AWAY WITH SATAN AND NEVER COME BACK AGAIN. SHE’S RUINED TOO MANY GOOD SOLES ALREADY WITH HER WICKEDNESS.

    Hey Losers Says:

I don’t believe this mumbo jumbo about being a Satanist.
Sounds like stupidity but the fact that she’s a phony, yeah, that’s so true.
    An egomaniac.
You can just tell her heart isn’t into what she is saying.

    HOLYWATER Says:

Remember how she said she is two people, she is Sasha on stage? That’s because her body is possessed and the one that you see in the media and on stage is the evil that’s living inside of her. She’s an empty shell and her body is Satan’s way of sheep following the herd.

wow this comment board is unbelievable. Have you ever even met Beyonce? Do you know her as a person? Someone said that they hope she dies…are you serious? You do realize she’s a person, right? All of these comments make me lose a lot of faith in Americans.

    goog Says:

“And I think for the U.N. to want to include the whole world was something important, and I feel like that’s what I represent”

What did this ego mountain say? First of all, the UN is a global institution, so they do not ‘want to include the whole world’, they ARE the whole world. THEY represent the whole world, not YOU, Beyonce. The UN has been doing good in the world far longer than when you discovered Gaddafi was a dictator (or that dictators exist?), you didn’t inspire them to do anything. Now go back to shaking your @$$ for cash and making idiotic music. I don’t even think she released that song as a call for human kindness. The lyrics are pretty ambiguous, unlike Michael Jackson’s ‘Man in the Mirror’ for example. It sounds like she just wants this to be about her, again.

    Lisa Says:

something is seriously wrong with everyone one on this comment board. She wants to help the world and is spreading awareness! Instead of focusing on her motives focus on the humanitarian aspect that is being addressed. All this negativity about how beyonce has an ego and blah blah blah is just stupid since no one here knows here personally. Concentrate on the overall message of positivity for just 5 seconds and stop using your energy to fuel hate towards people you don’t know!

  25. 25
    Lisa Says:

@HOLYWATER: you clearly need help. your in my prayers
