He looks pretty gaunt. Did he slim down for a movie?

  • mlllllllllllle

Crazy how this woman is a natural beauty, I can’t believe how she don’t need any clothes, make up or even a fake smile to look gorgeous and very sexy.

  • pit

    She is NO beauty.

    very ugly in fact

  • Jahhy Birthday

She is not cute on bit.

She has a harse face with horse features.

  • BEAN

Sorry I really don’t think she’s pretty either.

  • solecito

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I find brunettes and latinas much more attractive and interesting than the cookie-cutter blondes.

  • James

    @solecito:

Women of color are the beauties of the world. Hands down.

  • BEAN

@solecito: It’s nothing to do with being Latina or a brunette. People saying they don’t find her attractive are saying they don’t find HER attractive.

  • James

    She is a beauty alright.

  • michelle

    @tsquared:

Yes, he is slimming down for a role as an AIDS patient

  • tupi-guarani

why do people confuse Latina/Latino/Latin… with skin color, ethnicity…? This is a cultural term, not an ethnic term!!!!!!
any person whose native language is derived from the Latin (Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Romanian,…) is considered Latino/a…. if the person is from a country from American Continent whose language is Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil) or French (Haiti), then that person may be called the Latin American….
    - Hispanic and Latino/a aren’t the same thing!
    - Gisele Bündchen is Latin American and Brazilian as well as Camila

  • Gurani-Yanomami

She is Brazilian and a normal looking girl from South America. Brazilans are Lusophone with our own culture, religion and language. Latino is an American invention that does not apply to Portuguese and French speaking people and Spain has nothing to do with Brazil. Are the Americans German because they speak a Germanic derived language? of course not! Stop trying to categorize us on the basis of American Political Correctness.

  • Rios

People need to learn the difference between race, nationality and ethnicity. Gisele Bunchen is Brasilian by nationality, white by race and German by ethnicity. Camila is obviously a mixed race (Pardo) Brasilian woman and Ambrosio is Polish/Italian. In Brasil we call spanish speaking people Hispanic.

  • Little Italy

I find blonds more attractive than Hispanic girls. Most Hispanic girls are unattractive unless they are part European like: SALMA HAYEK, JESSICA ALBA, SELENA GOMEZ….ETC. And Italians are not Latino Latinos are Hispanics the latin language which hardlt any Italian speaks anymore is irrelevant for today we speak ITALIAN and that is our culture.

  • tupi-guarani

@Gurani-Yanomami: if you are referring to the incorrect use of the Latin term, used to classify people from Hispanic American countries (especially Mexico) with indigenous features, okay, for that sense we Brazilians are not Latino, but Brazil, although different from other Hispanic-speaking countries (regarding language, colonization, territorial expansion, training ethnic population,…), is part of Latin America….. Brazilians are lusophone, how you said, we are not hispanic…. but hispanic and lusophone from American Continent are Latin American…

  • Pretty & Blond

    She looks like a Platypus.

  • Daniel

I wonder if all of the people in Africa, Asia and North America who speak english know that their language is German and that they too as a consequence of their root language are German. Trying to bundle people into one group based on their language is the craziest thing I have ever heard.

  • True Tupi-Guarani

No real Brasilian ever describes him or herself as Hispanic only Brasilian because we know that the term does not apply to us only to the Spanish speaking people. Also, the native language of my country is not Portuguese, you can ask the Indigenuos people that and they will set you straight. Portuguese language came with slavery and colonization only our Indigenous tribes speak over 100 languages of their own but they speak Portuguese out of necessity because it is the official language of the country.

  • CPLD

Brazil is part of the community of Portuguese Language Countries. The Portuguese are Europeans and the original culture of the Iberian Peninsula was Greek not Latin in nature. The original culture and languages of Brazil was Tupi Guarani and Tupula and they were not Portuguese by race, customs or culture. It was the indigenous cultures of these tribes that established Brazil before the European invasion. So in short no, the cultures of Brazil was not first built by the invading Europeans, the indigenous tribes were already there for thousands of years with their own unique languages, customs, culture, music, laws and race long before the Europeans came and tried to wipe them out. There were fifteen different tribes who had established and were living in Brazil before the Europeans arrived to classify them. The Portuguese were never the primal ancestors or language of Brazil, they came later on like everyone else. The culture of Brazil today is a result of ethnic and culturally mixing of the Natives, the Africans and the Portuguese. The Germans, Italians, Polish, Russians, Asians came later as well. So you see it is not one thing superceeeding the other and it is certainly not Latin in its original culture.

  • Jazz

Brazilians don’t consider themselves Hispanic or Latino.
And French and Italians are NOT Lain for crying out loud.
    People have no clue..

  • LeeSeol

    Don’t find her pretty either.

  • KissThis

I didn’t realize he was 12 years older than her. That’s a quite a difference. No matter though, as long as they’re happy.

  • anna

@Rios: you need to stop trying to define any brazilian ethnically, we are ALL mixed even though sometimes one heritage pronounces itself more then the other… saying Gisele’s ethnicity is entirely german is inaccurate, she is clearly mixed.

  • lucyinthesky

    I LOVE her hair!

  • andy

@CPLD: so you’re saying there were indians living in Brazil before it was colonized? Isn’t that true for all colonized countries? And you think that is brand new information why?

  • Jaelyn

How do u pronounce her last name is it Al-Veez or Al-Vez?

  • BellaUSA

    Erm Gisele is clearly White.

  • Aiden

Everybody operates purely on external appearance no matter what the biological face and reality is.
Cameron Diaz and Christina Aguilera considered White and Jessica Alba Hispanic for those reasons despite fact that there both 50% Hispanic.
Having said that I could care less what they or Camila Alves is.

  • kooko

    damn he’s fug

  • ArizonaTea

Cameron Diaz is half castilian and that means white and her mother is white so she is all white same for Xtina.

  • ArizonaTea

Gisele is German all the way and looks like Stefi Graf half of the population of Brazil is white and not mixed with anything!! There are Italians there who aren’t mixed either neither are the polish people!! Get a clue

  • ArizonaTea

Neither Jessica Alba nor Cameron Diaz consider themselves to be part Hispanic because they do not live the culture or were raised in a spanish speaking home…neither speaks the language and publicly said so. If you are Asian or African and have a French name that does not make you French!

  • rafa

For those who think that Brazil has nothing to do with Latin America, you should know the Latin America Memorial, a complex placed in Sao Paulo – BRAZIL, designed by BRAZILIAN architect Oscar Niemeyer and planned by BRAZILIAN anthropologist Darcy Ribeiro, ” with the mission to strengthen cultural , political, economic and social relations of Brazil and other Latin American countries.

    http://www.memorial.org.br/america-latina/

  • rikki

i think she’s naturally pretty but maybe that’s just my opinion (in the minority i know)

  • fabiana

@ArizonaTea: It doesn’t matter where the name Bündchen came from, Gisele is Brazilian, it doesn’t matter her skin color, she is so Brazilian as Pelé….. It doesn’t matter the skin color of Brazilian Population, skin color (phenotype) is too shallow to classify a person by the genotype…. Brazilian population have mixed and non-mixed ….. italian/japanese, german/japanese, lebanese/japanese, portuguese/japanese, lebanese/italian, lebanese/german, irish/palestinian, african/italian, …, zillions of combinations…. It doesn’t matter…. ALL are BRAZILIAN

  • FLAMINGO

@ArizonaTea: Actually not a full half, but there are lots of them who try hard to preserve their whiteness.

  • FLAMINGO

You all went off your Rockers.

#1 – Hispanics are HAITIANS and DOMINICANS. THey share the island of Hispanola, one colonized by France and one by Spain. Many of them are family on both sides.

#2 – Latinos are technically all people from LATIN America and is not exclusive to people who speak the romantic languages of French, Spanish, or Portuguese. Trinidadians, Jamaicans, Guyanese are Latinos even though their official language is ENGLISH.

#3 – Latinos are of all races. It all depends on how that person defines him or herself. I assume Camila sees herself as mixed/Black. Before she became Mrs. McC., she was one of the models that was often featured in Essence and Ebony. And I have seen her mother, she is a ligh skin black woman. Her daughter Vida has very afrocentric features.

And for Christ’s sake, Cameron Diaz is a white woman whose father was a Cuban National. She is not “Hispanic” or even Latina for that matter because she is not even from any of those countries.

So here it is. Zoe Zaldana is Hispanic, so is Michelle Rodriguez and so is Wyclef Jean. Salma Hayek is Latina/o, so is Grace Jones, Marco rubio, Shakira, Leguezamo, Alves, Usain Bolt, Sean Paul, Bob Marley, etc.

Now when it comes to race well.. that can be tricky. Usually in Latin America, light skin blacks or mixed race ppl call themselves white whereas here they would definitely be seen as black, etc. Remember Mcconnaughay’s olf GF Salli Richardson? Well she looked just like Camila and more white but she called herself black. So that is up in the air.

  • Pele

Brazilians are Brazilians and we are proud of it so stop trying to force us to adhere to your Hispanic left wing agenda we are Brazilian and yes we are in Latin America but so are other countries that are also not Hispanic.

  • Trinidad

People in the caribbean are west indian/caribbean and we prefer it that way. Most of us speak english, Dutch, french with our own unique cultures and we can’t be pigeonhole into one group we are all different.

The term Latino despite its popularity is till highly debated among those who are called the name. Since the adoption of the term by the US Census Bureau and its sunsequent wide spread use there have been several controversies and disagreements, specially in the US, Mexico and other spanish speaking countries. Regarding it as an arbitrary generic term, many Latin American scholars, journalists and Indigenous rights organizations have objected against the mass media use of the word “Latino” pointing out that such ethnonyms are optional and should be used only to describe people involved in the practices, ideologies and identity politics of the supporters. Journalist Rodlfo-Acuna writes: when and why the Latino identity came about is a more involved story. Essentially, politicians the media, and marketers find it convenient to deal with the different US spanish speaking people under one umbrella. However, many people with Spanish surnames object to the term Latino. They claim it is misleading because no Latino or Hispanic nationality exists since no Latino state exists, so generalizing the term Latino slights and belittles the various national identities included under the umbrella. People are different and want to have their differences respected and not based on the language they speak.

Brazilians, did you ever stop to think about the importance to the “Bandeiras” expeditions? Thankfully the “bandeirantes” (like Bartolomeu Bueno da Silva, Antônio Raposo Tavares, Fernão Dias Pais, Manuel de Borba Gato and others) did not respect the Treaty of Tordesillas signed by Portugal and Spain in 1494 and today Brazil occupies almost fifty percent of the territory of South America

  • lala

despite the huge cultural differences and rivalries between the Brazil and the Hispanic-speaking countries, we are all Latin America, said that, enjoy the historic meeting between great names of Brazilian music such as Chico Buarque, Caetano Veloso, Milton Nascimento, Gal Costa and Argentine singer Mercedes Sosa, all singing the song ” Volver a los 17 “, composed by Chilean Violeta Parra. Great music, great meeting!

  • Cedro

United States term “Hispanics” had its origins in the 1970 Census using this criteria: Spanish speakers and persons belonging to a household where spanish was spoken. Persons with Spanish heritage by birth or descent.

  • Cedro

The music of Brasil encompasses various styles influenced by European, African and Amerindian forms. Brasilian music developed some unique and original styles such as Samba, Frevo, Zouk, Lambada, Lambada, Choro, Frevo as well as music from America and Europe. Like all countries we enjoy the great music of countries from all over the world. And less not forget Capoeira.

  • James

There are many countires in Europe and various other parts of the world where the music is influenced by the Blues, Jazz and Rock of America big deal. Cultural exchanges occur frequently where music is concerned and the world is better for it.

  • lala

@Cedro: but unfortunately today we are being saturated with crap music like “Sertanejo Universitário” or whatever the name given to it ( Michel Teló, Gusttavo Lima, Luan Santana and and related), after another crap music like axé.

  • italian girl

It’s clear that she has African genes. It is so evident!
As you can clearly see the Gisele Bundchen has German genes.

Anyway she is pretty when is has make up on her face. Without make up she is not beautiful at all! She looks like a monkey.
And it is true that she does not seem 12 years less than Matthew, she looks older than her real age.

  • kevin

She looks more like a Mexican than Brazilian to me. Also, her looks are nothing special. She looks very ordinary and kind of like she needs to shower more often.

  • R$ 50

@kevin: A “Brazilian look” DOESN”T exist!!!!!! Brazilians can look like Indians, Asians, Africans, Caucasians, Arabics,…. Germans, Italians, Lebaneses, Poles, Japaneses, Greeks, Ukrainians, blond, redhead, brunet,….Brazilian people can look like everybody else in the World and can look like a mix of all these people….. Brazil is a country of immigrants since 1500
