Cameron Diaz: Future 'Expenda-Belles' Star?

Cameron Diaz: Future 'Expenda-Belles' Star?

Cameron Diaz sifts through her bag to try and find her car keys on Thursday (August 16) in Los Angeles.

The 39-year-old actress was visiting a pal’s house before running into her missing key dilemma! Cam eventually located them and drove off.

The Expendables 2 director Simon West recently stated his idea for a new Expendables series – and the idea involves Cameron!

“I like the idea of the Expenda-Belles where it’s seven or eight women mercenaries,” he said to E!. “It would be Angelina Jolie, Cameron Diaz, Milla Jovovich, the list goes on. Helen Mirren, Jamie Lee Curtis would be great.”

FYI: Cameron is carrying a Reed Krakoff gym bag.

Enough with the male ensemble, bring on the women! You’ve gotta have Charlize Theron and Paula Patton in that mix.

it should be composed of people who are huge stars, known worldwide, and have been shown to be true action ladies like Sigourney, Milla, Angelina and Uma.
charlize hasnt done as much as the other ladies but she is really good in action in Aeon Flux and Hancock.
Cant think of anyone else at the moment hmm…………………..

I am in favor of female empowerment, but the Expendables is a semi satirical view of the 80′s/ early 90s big budget action movie stars. The movies work because it feeds off of that nostalgia. None of the women mentioned were considered “action stars” in the 80s/early 90s- it doesn’t really work.
