Celebs React to Tony Scott's Death

The death of famed director Tony Scott has set off an outpouring of emotional and stunned reactions in the Hollywood community.

The 68-year-old director (and the younger brother of fellow director Ridley Scott), who reportedly died after jumping to his death from the Vincent Thomas Bridge on Sunday (August 19), is receiving a huge amount of love from fellow directors, actors, students, and admirers.

Tony had directed such films as Top Gun, Days of Thunder, Spy Game, Man on Fire, The Taking of Pelham 123, and most recently, Unstoppable.

This is really a sad bit of news. He brought us all so much joy and excitement with his stories. RIP Tony Scott.

Truly sad for his family. Anyone that is thinking of suicide, no matter what the reason, should also think of their family.

This was a complete shock that he would take his own life. May he Rest In Peace, and my thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and loved ones. Hollywood truelly lost a piece of it!

That is soooo sad. my condolences to the “Scott” family @ this time of sadness. He truly was a great, honorable director. Prayers w/ his brother Ridley. RIP Tony.
