'The Office' Ending After Season 9

The Office will be ending its run after the upcoming ninth season, executive producer Greg Daniels confirmed.

“At some point you have a choice: to always tell the beginnings of stories and the middles or to allow a story to end and I think endings can be very powerful and meaningful pieces of the story,” Greg, who will return as showrunner for the final season, said in a conference call (via THR). “If we didn’t let it end this year, I don’t know if we would have been able to tell the endings for so many character that I really want to know the endings for.”

Greg said that the season will focus on the arcs of the characters and even hinted that there is a chance Steve Carell will return to finish out the season!

This is bull, what the hell they should have ended it after ten seasons

Very sad, but I think it needs to happen.
The show is nowhere as good as it was the earlier seasons.

Finally. Piece of sh*t. Americans not only love to copy shows from other countries, but they also never know when to end them.

@Domino:

Americans didn’t copy The Office you idiot. The show was produced by Ricky Gervais himself. Also you just mad the American version was far more successful than the UK version.

After Steve Carell left the show, The Office, in my opinion is not near as good as it was when he was in it.

Thank god, this past season was painful. The Office is just not the same without Michael Scott.

Didn’t think it would last long anyway, after Steve Carell left the show. Too bad he left.
