Ryan Gosling: Late Night 'Gangster Squad' Reshoots

Ryan Gosling keeps it casual as he arrives on the set of his upcoming film Gangster Squad with his assistant and pet pooch on Thursday (August 23) in Los Angeles.

The 31-year-old actor was joined by his co-star Josh Brolin as they spent most of the night re-shooting scenes for the Ruben Fleischer-directed flick.

Earlier in the week, Ryan was spotted hugging a female crew member immediately after arriving on set.

Gangster Squad is set to be released on January 11, 2013!

FYI: Ryan is carrying the Coach Bleecker weekend tote bag.

    god bless ryan and his talents

  • sookie

    maybe him and Eva already break up..?

  • http://www.billiescott.blog.cz Billie

    This retro look on his looks really great!

  • Look it up!

    Sometimes I think he’s hot. And then sometimes I think he’s so ugly………. like right here. HA!!! I love it when guys are like this. When they can appear both un and attractive to me. Makes ‘em hot….. Yeah…… All this to say that I like what I’m seeing yeah :p

  • lidia

    He’s really not that great looking, is he? Or maybe I just like my tall, dark, and handsome men much more :)

  • Anna

    Ryan, you’re the best of your generation. Go boy!

  • Lou

    @Look it up!: What I find attractive in Ryan is exactly that he is charismatic and different, but not a typical “pretty boy” like, for example, Jude Law (before starting to lose hair). He has a weird face (as he says) but attractive at the same time. I prefer men like him than very beautiful ones.

  • Anna

    George >3!!!

  • the truth

    i don’t like him running around glorifying violence with the guns, it’s really really cheap and lame ….. unfortunately it’s the common denominator in hollywood , guns and violence , LAME !

  • KissThis

    Can’t wait to see this movie!! I need a Ryan fix lol

  • Belle

    He’s not that charasmatic though and his acting is extremely overrated IMO. He walks around, stares and mumbles in almost all his movies. There are many in his generation better than him. And no, he isn’t good looking either. Plus his charm comes off as forced and rehearsed. I just don’t get his appeal and his overexposure and the lengths people go to overrate him (like that coloring book crap) makes me hate him.

    I have to say though, his assistant is very pretty. A lot prettier than his “girlfriend”. Why do I get the really that he’s really dating/hooking up this girl for real on the side? Which would explain the ridiculous PR crap with Eva that keeps ringing false.

    It’s seriously amazing what facial hair does for a guy’s looks. He’s someone who needs facial hair to mask the flaws in his face. When he’s got some stubble, he can look handsome. But when he’s clean shaven, he has like the plainest, blandest face ever.

    Another thing, he really has no butt at all. Not attractive really. Sorry, had to mention that. He’s so flat back there lol.

  • Meh

    This is gonna be another flop for Gosling. Hollywood needs to stop trying so hard to make him happen. He’s so dull.

  • Tere

    I guess that the people who say Gosling is overrated as an actor believe that good movies are superhero blockbusters and other crap alike instead of amazing movies like Half Nelson, Blue Valentine, Drive and Lars and The Real Girl. Great that there are still many people that appreciate quality cinema in this world!!!

  • Caro

    @Tere:

    you’re right, people who think he is bad actor definitely did not see the emotions and excellent performance that puts into his films, are the same who think that the best is commercial but do not see the real art.
    And of the other reviews to be a handsome man not only means having the pretty face. There are many of these actors overvalued only conspicuous by their pretty faces or their relationships.
    Conclusion: Ryan is an amazing actor!!!

  • ?what?

    Some of those Superhero Blockbusters are great movies, with actors that are very talented and probably are able to act circles around Gosling. And who dont parade for the paps with PR bimbo girlfriends.

  • Hanna

    @Tere:

    Um, sorry but Blue Valentine SUCKED. Boring hipster-cliched garbage about two morons whose relationship was never believable. Such a crappy movie. And Drive was overrated too. He’s not believable in his performances IMO. He’s a try-hard. He was so dull, unconvincing and miscast in Ides of March too. Chris Pine played that role SO much better on stage than Gosling did in the film.

  • Tere

    @?what?: Taste in movies is debatably, of course. In my opinion, those superhero blockbusters might be great technically, but there is no deepness in them. I’m not able to watch more than 5 minutes of X-Men, but I have watched Half Nelson a few times. Fassbender is another actor whom I consider among the best, but I hope he will stop doing X-Men movies. I personally prefer to respect an actor for the roles he chooses (and Gosling has chosen great ones) and his performances than for the woman he is involved with. His girlfriend is his own business.

  • xxxintroxxx

    @sookie:

    Gosling has become another Clooney/Dicaprio type. He’s gone Hollywood. He’s fully focused on himself and his career. I don’t see him ever settling down. You all don’t like Eva now, but when Ryan and her run their course and break up, he’s just going to replace her with another talentless vapid C-Lister who you’re all going to hate too. He’s not going to go back to dating Rachel and Sandra types. He’s done dating women on his level. The only person Gosling is in love with is Gosling.

  • Hanna

    @Tere:

    And I couldn’t sit through 3 minutes of that piece of crap Crazy Stupid Love. Oh yeah I remember that terrible Fracture movie too. Oh yeah anyone remember “All Good Things”? Yeah, no. Gosling does a LOT of bad films. Get off your high horse.

  • ?what?

    @tere You need some help in picking movies! X man, really? Probably just as stupid as Gangster Squad will be. Agreed Drive, Lars, Blue Valentine, all amazing movies, but he did a lot of dumb ones too, in which he gave only OK performances. And if he could keep his personal life just personal, instead of PR whoring it ….

  • mona

    His assistant is much cuter than Eva.

  • arlene

    He’s “meh” for me now. I loved his earlier work. He’s gone too Hollywood lately, especially with the stupid, needless showmancing. It cheapens him, and all that stuff about fighting crime, saving a stranger and now a body pillow and coloring book? I can’t take him seriously anymore. “Hey Girl” lol!

  • White Satin

    I like his acting but I hated Blue Valentine. That was such a dull, tedious, pointless movie and Ryan really overracted his role. I never cared about his or Michelle Williams’ characters.

    And sadly I think “intro” is right. Especially on the replacing Eva with another bimbo after they break up. Just like what Leo and George do. Are we forgetting how he ran though Kat Dennings (though she’s cool, I like her), Blake Lively, and Olivia Wilde before Eva?

  • the truth

    he was really great in The Notebook. hollywood is so lame tho, they keep using the same actors over and over again and thus all sound the same in every movie, imo, one movie and you should be done for life …. but no, they all too greedy !

  • Tere

    @?what?: Hey! I agree with you that not all his movies are good, of course. I didn’t like “All Good Things” too (though I felt that Kirsten Dunst was pretty good in it and he was fine). I just think that for his age he has a good amount of amazing movies, with some less good as well. Crazy, Stupid, Love.. was just an entertaining movie. I found “The Believer” good too. About the PR whoring… I’m not American. I don’t get that Hollowed stuff.

  • fiona

    What I would give to be be ryan’s personal assistant :O Ryan all day and all night <3

  • tena

    I like him in The notebook for sure but i have a sad feeling hollywood has gone to his head, am sorry to say.

  • blue

    I hate his “Women love me because I’m sensitive” act. He’s probably just as self absorbed and egotistical as the rest of them.

  • Debra

    @Tere:

    I agree. Go Gosling!!!

  • Seriously?

    @blue: if you really read the whole original article (The Sun) where he was “quoted” as saying that, you will also see that many of his “quotes” in it are fabricated. The “quoted” him saying his Gangster Squad character is the one that puts the group of cops together, when, anyone, who saw the trailer knows Josh Brolin’s character is the leader. Now why would he get the plot to his own movie wrong?

    Seriously? Why would he give a statement to a tabloid when he really hasn’t done any interviews recently.

    It just really bothers me when people take excerpts out of tabloids and call them fact.

  • ()

    @blue. Word! He should STFU

  • Exactly!

    @Seriously?: He obviously has not given any interview to The Sun. Most of tabloid stuff is fabricated. I thought that was a fact to everybody.

  • Seriously?

    @Exactly!: I did too, but more often than not people on here attack his character based on these fabricated stories
