    I despise the disintegration of the word “awesome” so that no one knows its true meaning any longer. Associating the word with Lana Del Ray just further goes on to prove what I mean.

    Her music is a breath of fresh air today. I love her album from A to Z. Amazing artist, amazing songwriter. She really inspires me.
    And before you hate her for some superficial and stupid reasons, listen to what she has to say and listen to her music.

    Jess Says:

    @Ivana: Why not mention the way she got famous, then? Having her father pay for publicists, etc. The character of people should be judged by what they do, not what they say. If she got famous for the right reasons, I would not have so much against her.

    Wonky face alert!!

    @Jess: Yeah… she’s the first artist that got a break because of nepotism and a rich family, I bet all starving musicians on the streets would turn down the chance to make a lot of money by doing what they love just out of principle. Oh please, maybe she had it easy but she’s still around not because of her dad but because people listen to her music and pay to see her perform! Not every socialite that has money to produce her own CD has a successful career, if that was the case Paris Hilton would still be making music.

    I’m glad she’s successful, her music is magic. I love it.

    @Jess:
    She writes and makes music already 10 years. She sang in a little bars for a long time. It’s not like she suddenly decided to be a singer and be famous and then her dad paid for that. Anyway, the muic industry doesn’t work like that. Nobody’s gonna sign you if you are anonymous and out of talent even though you’re rich. What they have from that? Simply, they signed her for her talent and music, they thought she’s something new and fresh and the world will buy it. And all PR is coming from her record label not her father. People are so stupid…

    Jess Says:

    @Ivana: You’re right, people are stupid. How do you think she was introduced to the record label to begin with? According to your logic, record labels should only sign talented artists, and still we got people like Nicki Minaj topping the lists. Articles like the one you linked to are also paid for by either the record label or her own PR team. More than stupid, people are ignorant.

    Jess Says:

    @Ivana: Not even mentioning that if she was so confident in her own talent, then why did she get plastic surgery to that extent? Makes no sense.

    Ivana Says:

    @Jess
    No, labels sign people who can make a profit. In this world sex maybe sells the best, that’s why Lana is not so huge like Nicki, Rihanna, Katy… But a true talent and authenticity can also be profitable.
    Anyway, I feel we can go on and on like this. People can have their own opinion, that’s fine. And also is fine that people dislike Lana. Being massively liked or loved in this world is not always a measure of quality.
    Oh, and why the f**ck should I care for someone elses plastic surgery? She can be a Frankenstein’s daughter I would still love her. I like her because of her music, not her lips and nose.

    jess Says:

    I adore her talent and have done since the Lizzie days but for the life of me I wish she hadn’t messed about with her lips. She was already pretty.

    Olivia Says:

    nice legs but she looks cross eyed on one of the picture, weird

    @Jess:

    The extent of stupidity in Lana haters is absolutely mind-boggling. You make bold pronouncements as if they were the God-given truth, somehow delivered directly to you. How do you know that any of the things you say are true? Were you were there when she struggled for years playing in NY bars, the many labels/executives that turned her down, or when she had nearly dropped out of music. You know more about how her father than David Nichtern (the head of 5-Points, her first label) who said that her money had nothing to do with her record. What clearly drives your hate is your jealousy of her beauty and talent, which for losers like you seem just not fair. So you use the equalizing principle of the internet, where any idiot can spout off whatever the hell they want without any consequence. Get a life, do something worthwhile, before you go around trashing talented people like Lana.

    Lisa Says:

    Jared apparently is on Lana’s payroll, no?

    Jim Says:

    The psychology of Lana haters (aka losers) is really fascinating. Why they would click on every Lana story (or video for that matter) just to leave nasty comments is beyond me. Isn’t there something better to do than keep following someone so detestable?
