The 39-year-old actor has some unanticipated down time after his film Motor City was shut down during its pre-production stage.

Motor City, which was also slated to star Gerard Butler and Mickey Rourke, received a release date from its distributor that did not allow sufficient post-production time, which made it impossible for the producers to secure bonds to make the film.

I guess I’m not up on the behind-the-scenes world of films, but, couldn’t someone have asked the distribution company to move back the release date to allow enough post-production time? What good is it to the distribution company to hold firm on a date and then not have a film to release?
