Emma Watson Covers 'Glamour' October 2012

Emma Watson looks sultry and sexy on the cover of Glamour‘s October 2012 issue, on newsstands September 11.

Here is what the 22-year-old Perks of Being a Wallflower actress had to share with the mag:

On being caught kissing boyfriend Will Adamowicz at Coachella: “I know! My friend got me tickets for my birthday, and what am I going to say? No, I’m not going to go, because I don’t want to be photographed? But it was a huge crowd, and I thought there was no way anyone could get pictures of me, but somehow they found me. It’s difficult on my dating life, because anyone I get photographed with is automatically my boyfriend. So it just makes it look as if I’ve had, like, 6,000 boyfriends!”

On growing out her hair: “I have to for roles. But if I had it my way, I would have just kept it short forever. Of course, men like long hair. There’s no two ways about it. The majority of the boys around me were like, “Why did you do that? That’s such an error.” And I was like, “Well, honestly, I don’t really care what you think!” I’ve never felt so confident as I did with short hair—I felt really good in my own skin.”

On her Lena Dunham obsession: “I am literally obsessed with [Girls creator and star] Lena Dunham. She’s, like, my favorite person in the world. I follow her on Twitter; I read her every day. And, yes, Girls is an example of something so refreshing because it feels real.”

FYI: Emma is wearing a Zadig & Voltaire jacket, a Nina Ricci dress, a Stella McCartney bra, and a Salvatore Ferragamo necklace on the cover.

    The cover is too photoshopped.
She advocates “being true to yourself” but she grows her hair for her career’s sake. Very conceited.

@anon: So? you would not do the same? It’s her job!!!

The people take too seriously what the stars say! She and the other actor/actresses are just HUMAN!

Yes, acting s her CAREER and when you are serious about it you do what you have to in order to grow and maintain it. In order to get the really good roles she needs to please the ones in power. It’s like most other jobs where realistically there are limits to how much freedom you have to be true to yourself. It’s just part of life. Even Meryl Streep has to still please the producers and those who pay to some degree…it’s a business.

    Rach Says:

Look, a young actress who’s a good role model, who had a major movie franchise and is doing interesting work after it without hooking up with other womens husbands. I’d rather any daughter I had saw her as role model instead of the other one.

    love Emma <3

    Journalistic Says:

aw, great quote about her hair:) Also, I love girls…I don’t understand why it gets so much hate. As a 20-something white girl growing up in the city, it’s really spot on.

    Frozoid Says:

Um, she was supposed to be going back to Brown this fall. That didn’t happen. She’s now 22. Her classmates will be graduating this year. Not a chance in hell will she ever ever go back there.

How come Natalie Portman; Jodi Foster and Brooke Shields all managed to get their Ivy League degrees from Harvard, Yale and Princeton respectively- and all in four years? Those colleges are lots harder than Brown..

    anon Says:

Talented actresses don’t rely on good looks to get roles. With the hair quote, she shows that her views of the job are quite shallow and that she is little more than a pretyy face.

    nina Says:

this kinda shoots doesnt suit her,she looks way too innocent for this.(and i say it in a good way btw)its kstew kinda shoot.

  18. 18
    Dani Says:

@anon: Her comment about her hair is just random… She not saying “I need my long hair because I look more beautiful and i can get more roles”.

Haters are no longer finding the way to discredit her in any way!!

She’s getting really amazing reviews for Perks, as Logan and Ezra!

    nikky Says:

unlike Miley, she rocked short hair

    Charlotte Says:

She is just awesome. A role model. Proud to be british right now :)

  21. 21
    Amy Says:

Even though the british are the stupidest people on the planet, she looks really cool and intelligent in this photo.

  22. 22
    lizzie Says:

Oh come on, all actresses rely on their looks, whether that’s being pretty, a bombshell, the kooky redhead, the unconventional girl next door, or whatever. Film, and stage, is a visual medium, therefor, whether you like it or not, looks are always going to matter.
Emma’s a much better role model than so many actresses her age.

  23. 23
    Vivien Says:

    Gorgeous and edgy.

  24. 24
    Beatriz Says:

Emma will return to Brown in January for her last semester before graduation, but I’m sure you already know this, you write the same thing in every post about Emma. It’s getting tiring and annoying, I can’t see your point at all.

  25. 25
    Georgia Says:

@Frozoid: Oh, what are you saying? Really? Never heard it before… Anyway, she is lovely and she is very sexy in that pictures.

  26. 26
    Albert Says:

@Amy: Are you kidding me? Why are you insulting us wantonly? Inferiority complex, maybe? Go and lie down. We are awesome!!!!

  27. 27
    Emma 3> Says:

I’m I the only one who thinks Emma should go back to Pixie . Thumbs up if you agree

Love her and can’t wait for Perks. Have to say though I prefer the UK shoot to this one. The UK shoot seems more “her” somehow.
