Emma Watson Covers 'Glamour UK' October 2012

Emma Watson looks gorgeous in Zac Posen on the cover of Glamour UK‘s October 2012 issue, on newsstands September 6.

Here is what the 22-year-old Perks of Being a Wallflower actress had to share with the mag:

On dating and relationships: “I wish someone had told me at 15: ‘You accept the love that you think you deserve’. “I would have approached my relationships completely differently if they had. I like this idea of quality control: that we don’t have to accept just anyone into our lives. People talk about love as though it just happens to you – as though you’re a victim in it all, when actually you can make good choices and bad. But women have a natural tendency to want to nurture and take care of men. You always think that the guy is going to end up coming around and that you’re going to be the one that saves him – like the Oasis song. Actually I don’t think that you can change other people, but women always hope for the best.”

On girls putting themselves down these days: “It makes me sad to hear girls constantly putting themselves down. We have these unbelievably high expectations of ourselves, when actually we’re human beings and out bodies have a function. We say that the pressure is coming from men but actually it’s from each other. I think women feel so much pressure these days and it can turn us against each other. But we really damage our own confidence when we put ourselves down, so I try not to.”

On fashion favorites: “My all-time favorites are probably the white Alexander McQueen dress I wore to the Empire Awards and the vintage Ossie Clark dress I found in a shop around the corner from my house.”

This is so true, especially in highschool, I hear girls put down other girls more than boys put us down, yet we always blame them.

Totally love her quote about putting yourself down

Goodness, she’s pretty and intelligent. It’s nice to see and interview that doesn’t involve a cuss word or some fake, cookie cutter answer.

she is smart and it’s really good for once to read these kind of interviews , cannot stand those hollywood starlets !

She’s right about the girls putting each other down. Ugh it’s so annoying! I feel the pressure. And I feel like it’s coming both from men AND other girls. It’s sad what society has become!

Gorgeous!

just suck it

She looks Stunning. Love the shoots and her whole look.

I wish interviewers would ask her some new questions.

She seems lovely and not desperate like so many others.

She has some great insight into the dating world and girls perceptions of each other. I absolutely love her inside and out. Gosh I wish I was her friend sometimes. She’d be so awesome :)

I love to hear her views. So intelligent and classy.

@escapizm: I’m sad that people are too dumb to read your entire quote before they clicked the thumbs down button.

I’ve heard so many stories about her being vapid and snobby in person, but whatever she’s like in real life, she always looks so utterly fabulous and sounds so well put-together in these interviews. Love her.

I read a lot of stories about her being nice and lovely, by the way, she looks stunning.

It’s one thing to praise Emma for telling girls to stop judging other girls more harshly than men yet turn around and bash Kstew and forget about Rupert Sanders. Wise words but no cigar.

that Ossie Clark dress has always been by far my favourite. she wore it at the london premiere of the 4th HP. great to see that she loved it that uch as well
