“I want to nominate a man cool on the outside but burning for America on the inside. A man who believes we can build a new American Dream economy driven by innovation and creativity, education and cooperation. A man who had the good sense to marry Michelle Obama,” Bill said during his speech. “I want Barack Obama to be the next President of the United States and I proudly nominate him as the standard bearer of the Democratic Party.”

He did great. Yes it was long, but I don’t care because he went and basically laid it all out there. Bill also knows how to connect with the audience because he had their attention the entire time.
Not siding with either party, Clinton gave one of the best speeches I’ve heard in a long time.

I’m a Canadian but I’ve got to admit, that was one of the best speech I’ve ever heard. I didn’t even notice how long it was since he kept you invested and wanting more. I loved how he broke things down and simplified things. I also loved him calling out the Republican party for being so hateful. As a Canadian where politics aren’t as dramatic and heated as in America, I’ve always wondered why Conservatives were so….angry. Isn’t the idea of politics and government looking out for the best interest of its people?! It’s not suppose to be about who you worship or how many times you go to Church! What does that have to do with my taxes going up or education?
@Rachel: did you hear the part when Bill Clinton said that he could not have done as good a job as prez Obama has with the economic crisis he was handed?

Put all the bullsh< t aside – this man is so powerful when he talks. People listen, even that idiot bill o'reilly couldn't defer or stomp on anything he said during their interview. He has a presence and power that i don't think can ever be emulated. I'm not american but i really hope they'll have someone in office like that again. You need someone who isn't scared off by leaders like putin, or worry if gun control is going to offend people – i really hope the next president will do that for you.. whoever that may be..(also if i could vote, my choice would be for MICHELLE obama, she gave a great speech, too.)
