Emma Stone & Mom Krista Fight Breast Cancer with Revlon

Emma Stone and her mom Krista pose in this new ad for Revlon Cares‘ “Your Lips Can Saves Lives” campaign to help fight breast cancer.

The 23-year-old actress’ mother is a breast cancer survivor. Emma recalls Krista‘s 25 weeks of chemotherapy as a “really difficult, terrifying time.”

“To me, as her daughter who was not going through that incredible struggle, I had this insane amount of clarity,” Emma told USA Today. “My mind is so muddled all the time with the past and the future, that it was like an inexplicable jolt into the ‘now’ the whole time that she was going through this. Because I realized — all you have is the present.”

Emma and her mom both got blackbird tattoos on their wrist once she beat the cancer.

That’s an awkward picture. Instead of Fight for Breast Cancer, it looks like an ad for Yes on Prop-8.

  • Mimi

    That’s a really creepy looking picture! Ewwwww….

  • Mimi

    @Anon: LOL!!!!

  • Mimi

    They look incestuous!

  • Ruby

    @Mimi:
Phew, I thought I was the only one who thought that…

  • Jinx

Weird picture.. if you don’t now that it shows a mother and her daughter..

  • ellen

I know it’s not nice to laugh because of her mom’s terrible illness, but the photographers should have chosen a different pose.

  • Emily

LOL totally agree! I think the picture would have been better if their positions were switched and Emma’s chin was resting on her mom’s shoulder. 0_o

  • Carbon Copy

Good for them and I wish them the best. With that said, that picture is very ackward for a mom and daughter photo. Doesn’t even show the emotion of the cause.

they have to take down this picture.. its horrible and incestuous. ask anyone they would say that if they dont know they are mother and daughter. bad bad bad picture..

  • Sabrina

Only a dirty mind would see something incestuous in that pic… Show some respect – it’s about cancer!

  • in love

I saw this pic in Marie Claire and thought the same thing.

  • Cin

Great cause, but what were they thinking with this picture!? First thing that comes to mind is a May December lesbian romance.

  • o

yeah, weird picture and weird closeness to her mother
, lots of infamous and famous women have really weird super close relationships with their mothers, emma stone, angelina jolie, taht blonde greys anatomy girl, kirs kardashian with her slotty daughters and that is just off the top of my head, moms pushing their daughters to be famous and also in some cases be their manager, not normal, any of it

  • Just Boston

I agree that her mom should be looking at the camera as she is the survivor. Otherwise, it’s perfectly normal for mom and daughter to hug and kiss each other with affection. The amount and intensity is perhaps influenced by people’s cultural background, thats’s all.

  • Effy

Great cause and it’s even better that they are doing this, but that picture is terrible. They photoshopped Emma’s face odd and it looks more like an intimate picture between a couple, not a surviving mother and her daughter.

  • lucas

that’s a weird picture, but it’s entirely the photographer’s fault and it doesn’t say anything about Emma’s relationship with her mother. She seems like a girl who cares and loves her mother… nothing wrong with that!

  • gherm

Looks like she’s being hit on by an old lesbian.
