Last Airbender's Nicola Peltz: 'Bates Motel' with Vera Farmiga!

Nicola Peltz has finalized her deal to join the cast of Bates Motel, A&E’s upcoming Psycho prequel, JustJared.com can confirm!

The 17-year-old Last Airbender actress will star as Bradley Kenner, “a girl Norman (Freddie Highmore) takes a liking to at school who’s described as bright and effortlessly sexy with a depth that makes her seem older than she really is,” according to THR.

Bates Motel follows the relationship between Norman and his mother Norma (Vera Farmiga) and offers a look at his back story that helped forge the infamous serial killer.

House At The End of the Street star Max Thieriot will be playing Norman’s rebellious older brother.

Congratulations on the great new gig, Nicola!

Hoping this will be good/interesting.

This, plus the Hitchcock movie they made recently – horray! :D

I had wondered if Norman went to school or not. Wasn’t aware he had a brother though.

I’m really glad that Nicola got this role. I also hope this movie will be interesting.

I’m sure she loves being recognized for that.

This new casting announcement is interesting in that we get the chance to see Norman in a school setting. It will be fascinating to see how he acts around various students, Bradley in particular. A co-worker at DISH and I have been theorizing and we think it’s possible that she will be one of his first victims. With no indication of when his killing will start, it’s too soon to say. I am definitely adding this to the list of shows that I record on my Hopper. I love that I can record entire seasons automatically, putting the 2,000 hours of recording space are going to be put to good use. So little is known about Norman’ origin, I am excited to get a closer look with The Bates Motel.
