Amy Poehler sparkles in a black gown at the 2012 Emmy Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday (September 23) in Los Angeles.
The 41-year-old Parks and Recreation actress was all smiles as she walked the red carpet before heading inside to watch the show.

Tonight, Amy is up for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Leslie Knope.
FYI: Amy is wearing a custom Stella McCartney gown, earrings by Penny Preville, a Judith Leiber clutch, and Sergio Rossi shoes.

That is not a very flattering dress
Amy Poehler should host the Emmy’s next year. Nobody understands comedy better then she does. She’s got a good handle on it. Her and Jon Stewart.

@Jen: But she lost to Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who in my opinion was better (by a nose). At least she didn’t lose to Zooey Deschanel or Melissa McCarthy.
