Scarlett Johansson Covers 'W' Magazine's Anniversary Issue

Scarlett Johansson channels the 1990s on the cover of W magazine‘s November 2012 anniversary issue.

Also featured on separate covers, which each highlight a different decade, are actresses Keira Knightley, Mia Wasikowska, and Rooney Mara.

Here’s what the ladies had to share with the mag:

Scarlett, on her favorite person from the 90s: “Chris Farley. I thought he was hilarious. Growing up, I used to watch Saturday Night Live just to see him. He threw his whole body into the parts he played: He’d become red and sweaty and frantic. When he died, it was really significant for me.”

Keira, on fashion trends of the 2000s that she dislikes: “I think skinny jeans and micro-miniskirts are very unfriendly. I’ve been known to wear both, but on some days it seems like they were invented to make you feel bad about yourself.”

Mia, on who she feels embodies the 1980s the most:
Madonna. She’s the icon. She’s wholly her own person.”

Rooney, on her favorite 1970s film:Paper Moon. I saw it only last year. David [Fincher] made me watch it, and I think I’ve seen it five times since then… I love that ending”it’s not too happy-happy.”
