Jeremy Lin Covers 'GQ' November 2012

Jeremy Lin suits up for the cover of GQ‘s November 2012 issue, on newsstands October 23.

Here is what the 24-year-old Houston Rockets basketball player had to share with the mag:

On what lies ahead for him: “People are always saying, ‘He’s only started twenty-five games, there’s so many uncertainties.’ And I agree. I totally agree. I don’t know how my next season’s going to turn out. The things that I struggled with before last year, I’m going to struggle with next year—there’s that learning process. Just because you have x amount of good games doesn’t mean that you have drastically improved as a player. It just means that what you could do is finally being shown. But I have to get better.”

On stereotypes and sports: “There’s a lot of perceptions and stereotypes of Asian-Americans that are out there today, and the fact that I’m Asian-American makes it harder to believe, even crazier, more unexpected. I’m going to have to play well for a longer period of time for certain people to believe it, because I’m Asian. And that’s just the reality of it.”

On the New York Knicks fans: “You can’t ask for a city or a fan base to embrace somebody more than they embraced me. I know it’s kind of silly to talk about it with only two years under my belt in the league, but going in before free agency, I was like, ‘I want to play in front of these fans for the rest of my career.’ I really did. I really wanted to play in front of the Madison Square Garden fans for the rest of my career, because they’re just unbelievable.”

Fantastic. an Asian man on the cover! america is the biggest hypocrites in the world. They like to feel sympathy for minorities that aren’t a threat. But Asians are good looking, smart and have strong economies, and that’s why US play the racist card by jokes and stereotyping Asians to put them i a bad light.

Awww he is so cute & adorable. Such a good humble guy, unlike a majority of those basketball players who are arrogant.

Really cute photos.

He’s photogenic.

@Lina: Asians are not a treat that is why they dont get heat! they dont step on the toes of white people and most dont even notice they are there. its good that he is on the cover! i think hes good looking. but dont bring down other races by saying they are not smart

Asians are beautiful (I like Chinese), but he looks a mix of black and Asian in these pics. I didn’t know him so searched some pics and he looks so much better, he doesn’t look so good here.

He’s hot for an Asian guy…

I will be getting my copy on 10/23/12

love jeremy
