Lauren Conrad Covers 'Allure' November 2012

Lauren Conrad shows off her toned tummy on the cover of Allure‘s November 2012 issue, on newsstands October 23.

Here is what the 26-year-old television personality and “Starstruck” author had to share with the mag:

On her haters: “People felt that a lot of the things I had were undeserved, maybe because I didn’t have a specific talent; I was more of a regular girl and maybe didn’t deserve the attention. I think anyone in the public eye is going to be hated, and a lesson that I needed to learn quickly is that it is impossible to please everybody. One person will call you classy, and another will call you boring.”

On how ‘real’ The Hills was: “I think the story they told wasn’t a dishonest one. The way they did it sometimes was. They aren’t going to be there for everything. Sometimes two of their main characters will get into a fight, and that’s important to the story line. The [producers] need that reenacted. Their things was always: It did happen. They’re not making this up: you just didn’t see it… Brody and I did date. It was pretty brief. There was definitely editing to drag it out.”

On dating in LA: “You don’t want a slob, but you don’t want a guy whose constantly borrowing your tweezers… the last year and a half, I was dating a lot, and it’s slim pickings.”

This cover is a refreshing change from Allure’s usual “headshot”. But I’m still amazed she’s getting magazine covers after all these years.

# 3

no offense but she’s no longer relevant
and should be on justjaredjr

I’m sorry but I do like her, I love her style and I think that she’s talented and mature. I’m going through some stuff at work and her comment about haters really put things into perspective I’m glad I read this.

She hit all the points: undeserving, boring etc
At least she’s self-aware I guess.
She is usually being praised as being ‘real’ and such but whored herself out on a fake show for years and years just for $$.
She throws blame to the editors for creating the fakeness, but she’s the one participating in ‘reenactments’ and in the ‘dragging out’ of faux relationships. Whatevs. She’s a sham like all the other realit sacks, but at least they admit it whereas she tries to make like she’s better when she’s not.

Is it 2009? What an odd choice Allure has made, I predict crap sales.
The only thing that comes to mind when I think of her is that awful craft video of hers where she destroys books.

She looks so much better without her signature winged-tip eyeliner!

SHE’S GORGEOUS! in case some haters didnt know she COMPLETELY deserves the cover of a magazine… she’s had best selling books… shes important in the fashion industry… she wasnt just some chick on a reality show … she wanted to pursue a career in fashion which is exactly what she is doing… so stop with the ” why is she on the cover ” bullshit because she is promoting her beauty book!!!

@andy: hahaha Lauren Conrad is not important to the fashion industry lol really, please. That is hilarious.

i actually love her and i think she is a great rolemodel unlike heidi montag

funny how she is acting like the producers are to blame for all that. as if she was forced to play in this “real life” soap. she is nice but totally overrated. and i am not a hater because i have an other opinion as this delusional girls who think she is playing it “real”.

i find it strange that people think she is a good designer. everything what she desingnes is copied from others. and she always plays it save when it comes to fashion. everytime the same like a skinny jeans and what ever you throw over it. she is never brave when it comes to fashion and this is the thing why she is no fashionista for me or a great designer, or why she is not important for the fashion industry. there is no new inspiration she brings to the fashion world. always same old same old. she is a modern day barbie. but a good looking one.
