Drake Graduates High School at 25

Drake has been hitting the books and he has finally received his high school diploma!

The 25-year-old rapper tweeted the exciting news to his fans.

“97% on my final exam. 88% in the course. One of the greatest feelings in my entire life. As of tonight I have graduated high school!” Drake wrote. “Thank you to my teacher Kim Janzen for spending the last 5 months working tirelessly with me!! OVO SOUND.”

FYI: Drake dropped out of high school at 15 to pursue a role on the show Degrassi: The Next Generation. He was one credit short of graduating at the time.

Good for him but DAMN was he taking 1 class a semester? Geez, if he goes to college he should graduate around 85 or 90.

For those of you calling him a “loser”, he’s a millionaire and it wouldn’t have benefited him any if he had graduated or not. The point is he did, which is commendable. Congratulations!

He didn’t have to go back to school. He has a career and makes lots of money. It’s never too late to go back to school, and fulfill your dreams.

in the words of daniel tosh “high school? how’d you do it?” (that’s sarcasm for the uninformed)

Congrad-tulations Drake. Way to go.

Good For him. He clearly didn’t need to but he had a goal and did it.

Nobody should call him a “loser”. It’s great that he appreciates the value of education even being so well succeed. Congratulations, Drake. :)

Wait, so he dropped out of high school to go play a high school student? Yeah, okay there Wheelchair Jimmy. < People dont forget.

Good for him. Congrats!

He went back to school and earned his diploma. To those criticizing him – where are your blue ribbons? You may have a diploma; maybe you have a degree or even a masters. But your comments show that you are clearly lacking class and grace.

early bird damn

That’s pretty inspiring!! I think education never ends in life but its good to get the formal education out of the way since that is the type of education you don’t always get a second chance at in life. Most millionaires don’t always have college degrees but are successful at business; i.e. learned informally on-the- job as well as have an aptitude for it. In any case, Drake reached an important goal and will hopefully inspire others who want to go back to school and want to achieve both academic and professional success.

Good for Drake.

Shame on you. It is never too late to go back to school and get an education. You are the loser.

@gossipguy. Hes making millions of dollars without hs diploma and your calling him a loser? What are you doing with your life? lol people these days.

Awesome!!!!! good 4 you DRAKE…… :)

there is no age barrier in studying, but he did a great job ;)

I love how people are commending him because he now has a high-school diploma. Looks like education standards are somewhat lower now. I didn’t know that graduating high-school was something to be proud of.. Congratulations on taking 10 years to get 1 credit! /sarcasm

By the way, tons of celebrities have degrees from Ivy league universities. I wouldn’t consider high-school an accomplishment.

it must be a slow day

he would have graduated high school when he was 15 – he was ONE credit shy of doing it at the time. he made a conscious decision (i guess knowing he could always go back and finish) AND he did.

so i guess this means he’s smart, driven, deliberate and follows through. definitely a “loser”. ok, sure.

Good on him! But he’s rich at f**k. Doubt those were his grades… drake that smart? haha

@couper: Most of those celebrities were accepted by those Ivy League universities you mention because they were celebrities.
