Halle Berry Has Got To Have Faith!

In case you missed it, check out Halle looking smashing on the cover of InStyle magazine.

In the issue, Halle explained her desire to move overseas. She said, “It’s the appeal of privacy and a greater sense of safety for Nahla. I don’t want her to grow up around the tabloids. Because we are followed all the time, she is starting to feel like she is somehow special, and of course she is, but I want her to understand that she’s special because of who she is, not because she was born into this celebrity blender.”

FYI: Halle is wearing Raven Denim‘s Logan in Epic Shorts.

    So glad Halle has a hit movie, Keep the faith Halle and no more cra-cra comments about the Free loader X
    Beautiful woman but has the worst taste in men

    Blablabla. Why doesn’t she move to Canada then? There is no paparazi here, and Nahla’s father is from here. I’m sure Nahla also has a lot of extended family in Canada. They used to have a house in the Montreal region, but they sold it when they split.
    Halle is full of Bullsh*t if you ask me.

    Why not move to France? Nahla speaks French so does her father and Halle’s boyfriend. They have a large ex-pat American community in Frnace.

    When her relationship goes belly up, and it will. What is Oliver’s track history with women, 4 years top and, of course, we know about Halle’s history with men. If she is granted permission to move to France, what’s going to be her excuse when she moves back to the States, when their relationship is over? What’s wrong with a small city in the States, in Mississippi, Kansas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Ohio? Who does she think she is fooling?

    no child should be taken away from their father , especially when the father is showing great interest in his child . we woman are always complaining that we are single mothers and the fathers of the children are not present , now that we have a guy who wants to be present , why is she trying to take his child away from him. and give to another man ? what is she trying to prove . she goes from man to man ever so often , does she think that she is a better role model for the child than him ? i don’t think so. let the child father be present in her life so he can help bring her up and make decisions about her future , i am on Gabriel side , thumbs up to all fathers who are active in their children’s lives.

    Yes, and she is very special to her father, too. but of course Hallie does not care whether the child has a relationship with HER father,

    Opinion Says:

    Does she realize that people in Paris are very unwilling to speak English? How is she going to survive there? I’m imagining she’s going to be kind of isolated, and lonely, seeing that many people around her will not speak English. Paris is not this magical city that everyone portrays to be. I’ve been there, and it’s ridiculously expensive, we’re talking 12 dollars for just a sandwich, that is mostly bread, and very little meat and nothing else inside except for a piece of cheese. Also, all the buildings look pretty much the same, so one corner doesn’t look very different from the next corner. And some of the people were just plain rude, when they found out you spoke English.

    @Opinion:

    While I don’t think money will be an issue for her, when she moves to Paris, I do agree with you that the Parisians are not very willing to speak English even when they can. My grandmother lives near Paris and while I am not from France, I have seen French people who were clearly able to speak English, let people struggle with their language. But I was under the impression that Halle is able to speak French. Or is that not the case? If not then…good luck Halle.

    Silvia Says:

    @Opinion: In the era of globalization, it is a shame that you expect that everyone has to speak English. Second, language is not merely a tool of communication, it is the means by which one accesses a culture. In other words, to understand a people, it is necessary to speak their own language, not the one they are using for your benefit. I live in Germany and I have to learn German and I am Spanish native speaker. Why are some Americans so proud of their linguistic shortcomings?

    Mari Says:

    @Silvia:

    I don’t think that Opinion meant to say that he or she expects everyone to speak English, rather that he or she is under the impression that Halle does not speak French and the French are rather proud of their language and give a hard time to someone who does not speak it. While I agree with them in the case of people who come to live there. They should learn the language.

    I came to live in Germany and wanted to learn the language, because people always treat you differently when you are able to speak their language. Und Deutsch is so eine schöne Sprache! ;)

    @Opinion: Awwww poor you little American.!! Maybe if you guys stopped it with your bull$hit, always thinking you’re the center of the world and everyone has to speak your damn language, then maybe people from other countries would respect you a little more… I’m French and I can speak English very well but you guys piss me out….you are so vain when you’re in here in Paris. Like, really. I’m not surprised French people get rude. But don’t take it personally, worst thing is when Russians show up at your work and expect you to understand and speak their gobbledygook.

    Sihaam Says:

    OMG she is punishing a half french baby by moving her to french country. OMG how is that lazy father is going to offer to fly to France, after all that is far far away. NO way because I’m here on cyberspace hating ppl for no reason therefore custody bottles between two couples involve me. Because I know so well what is good for Nahla not her own mother, I mean after all who really needs mother when your father is a lazy model who wants to live off your mother. Really who then needs mother??? Nahla is so loved by stranger on cyberspace that she does not need to have a mother who gave birth to her that right is reserved for others not her.

    @Ha:
    People for me capitals are not always nice. I am a Spanish speaker and I had a rough time in Paris, some elders were downright rude. The nices people I met there were people from India or somewhereelse, foreigners, tourists like me. It is one of the most beautiful cities, but It seems lime people are tired of tourists or something like that.

    Random Person Says:

    I went to Paris this last summer & I don’t speak french and yet… I had a lovely time. Most of the French people I met were lovely & patient with me & my family. There were a few who seemed a little frustrated with us not speaking their language, but they were still decent & I don’t blame their frustrations. I tried learning a few key words & phrases too. It was fun.

    I don’t think it’s fair that Halle’s life should be confined to where everyone else thinks she should live cause of her kid. Parent’s in the states are allowed to move their kids across the country from their ex-husband/wife & is that some how different? As long as both parents are making an effort for their child, then this is just a temporary hurdle to jump.

    thea Says:

    i survived in france pretty well before i could speak french, and i’m sure that by now halle can speak it. i think what she says about the paparazzi and nahla makes a lot of sense, and while paris is not my favorite french city i can’t blame her for wanting to move to france. it’s a nice country in many ways.

  16. 16
    ben Says:

    france is a great country. i would love to visit it much more. i dont understand whats the problem is. nahla will not be the first child that dont live in the same country as her father. normally its the father who moves a lot to other cities/countries because of the job. it is still more common for people if the father moves away than the mother. but why its a problem for so many people here. the reason why halle want to move somewhere is as good as fathers who move somewhere for their jobs.

    Jenny Says:

    My, my, my….smh! Everyone so quick to judge when none of you personally know Halle, Gabriel, or Olivier. It’s easier for you to believe that Halle is crazy mother versus to believe that Gabriel might be an A-hole father. Maybe she has learned how to speak French but apparently some of you prefer to think she’s only an English Speaking person. None of you have had to deal with the Paparazzi constantly in your personal business almost on a daily basis. That would be irritating too most people. Not to mention the stalker she had to take to court. Have a little empathy people. At the end of the day, I hope the Judge can help them come to an arrangement that’s best for Nahla (which might not be living in America), & allow both parents to move on with their lives.

  18. 18
    yes it will Says:

    Yes Halle it will all work out even if it’s not to your liking or you getting your way. If they’re truly in love they will work it out if the Judge doesn’t rule in her favor today. If not, it’s all been a sham like all of her relationships that she has pursued. Martinez is no different from David, Eric, Gabe and the all of the others she used to further her career. If is allowed to go she may have a better career in Europe. Who knows?

    Heather Says:

    I love Halle Berry and I hope she gets the help she needs because she has been abused all her life from her Dad to her ex-husbands. Everyone deserves to be loved and I adore the relationship she has with Olivier now…I hope he is finally the one :D Her daughter is gorgeous!!! I think Halle is beautiful but I just think she needs to lose just a few more pounds…like 20 to look even more youthful.
