Matthew Fox: I Was Terribly Embarrassed By My DUI
Matthew Fox flashes a smile during his appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing Wednesday (October 17).
The 46-year-old actor chatted with Ellen about his turbulent year that included false allegations of hitting a woman and a DUI.
“I was not happy about the DUI at all. I was terribly embarrassed by that. And take full responsibility for it. I really own that and have done every single thing the state of Oregon requires for a first time DUI offender. I have learned a ton,” Matthew shared. “I did four weeks of alcohol informational training. And just learned an enormous amount. One of the statistics that I learned is that 50% of people that get one DUI will get another. I found that pretty astounding after what I’ve been through. I will absolutely not be in the statistic. There is just no way.”

Good for him for owning up to his mistakes and trying to be a better person from it.
What about being a woman beater?
He’s also a coward .. but he won’t acknowledge it.
It’s so easy for people to bash someone on the computer…how do you know he’s a coward? I’m sure you have no faults, do you?
Matthew seems like a great guy to me and I don’t believe most of the negative stuff you see out there.
I think DUI is overrated. It is not the worst crime in the world. Back in the 80ties it was a piccadello !!!!
Whatever, she should of just let Jack on the DAMN BUS.
@Fred:
Really how was he supposed to know that was a women?
