Keira Knightley Covers 'Flare' Magazine December 2012

Keira Knightley is white hot on the cover of Flare magazine‘s December 2012 issue.

Here is what the 27-year-old Anna Karenina actress had to share with the mag:

On love—and her upcoming film, Anna Karenina: “Tom Stoppard [who wrote the screenplay] said at the beginning [that] this is a thesis on love, and I said ‘Ummm. Er. Okay.’ And I think he’s quite right. Not just the sparkly bit that we’re sold, the fun, the hopefully great sex, but it’s also looking at the loneliness, the pain, the jealous madness that is all a part of that.”

On playing Anna: “There are aspects of her that I don’t like. Then you go: Am I any better? I am duplicitous and manipulative and all those things. Hopefully that doesn’t define me, but they are parts of my personality.”

On growing up in the public eye: “When I was very young, I was hounded by these hideous men. What they wanted was the picture of me falling out of the club. They weren’t going to get that out of me. No, I chose very, very deliberately not to, because I couldn’t bear the idea of giving in to them. It takes a stubbornness.”

It has been too long since the last Keira Knightly movie. She is an amazing actress and will be great in this movie.

Wow she’s just 27? I feel like she’s been aroung for ages now.
About the hideous men..is she talking about the paparazzi? I don’t like celebs that complain about them..loom honey,you have this perfect little life,tons of money,fame and you complain about your picture being taken? Well if you didn’t want hideous men to stalk you you’d be in a bar waitressing right now,so shut up!

Yes, I”m sure you’d share the same sentiment if it was your life being stalked at every corner. A private life is entitled to by everyone, no matter their occupation or money. They owe us nothing, but good movies and good promotion.

@Jo: You need glasses :P

@Jo: Or maybe just to control your jealously.

Terrific actress, lovely, always a decent interview.

@Jo: She is really ugly and I am very sad because she will play Anna Karenina. Keira playing a Russian? This is a joke. They could at least find an actress that likes Russian literature, like Mischa Barton. I am not a fan of Mischa, but at least she is not so ugly and she likes Russian literature. I even thought she was of Russian descent. I didn’t read the book and now I think I don’t even want to do it anymore. I don’t need to say I will not watch the movie.

Her weight, or lack thereof, is such a turn-off. She is so talented and would look much better if she put on a few pounds. At least she’d look a bit healthier:(

@ Reba : Your words are so true!
Her weight is really a great debate, but anyway she’s so talented and remarkably sweet, beautiful and glamorous!
