'Boy Meets World' Sequel Series In the Works!

The Disney Channel is in the early stages of development for a Boy Meets World sequel series called Girl Meets World, according to TVLine.

For the sequel series, the network is looking to bring back Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel to reprise their famous roles as Cory and Topanga, who tied the knot before their hit show ended. The new series would revolve around their preteen daughter.

After wrapping up Boy Meets World, Ben has guest starred on Bones, Chuck, and Without a Trace. Danielle’s post-Boy gigs include National Lampoon Presents Dorm Daze and hosting Style Network’s The Dish.

@rrta:

Mr. Feeny is on Grey’s Anatomy now!

I grew up with this show! Brings back old memories! <3

I’m scared that they’ll ruin a classic… i’ll be more comfortable if they get the same writers who did the original Boy Meets World.

Boy meets world was the best. Disney better not make it suck.

I love this show, but no hell no if Disney has any hand in it.
Looking at the current shows on their network will show you why it wouldn’t be the best idea.

I wonder if they’ll bring Minkus back. Lee Norris was great on One Tree Hill.

love, the show, but sux that neither of them could have careers after the show, guess they gotta make money somehow from a disney show LOL

@RoryClancy:

No! he was sooo CREEPY, weird lookin mo fo

Bring back Eric & Feenie!!

I want to be excited, but the only thing worse than missing a beloved show is having the memory dragged through the mud with an awful remake or reunion.

I’m sorry, but this reunion show sounds stupid! Especially because its called Girl Meets World & will be on Disney channel! They should bring back the show, keep the name Boy Meets World, no spinoff, just about all the original characters & their lives now, maybe with kids or not, career, life, relationship, & put it on ABC family channel NOT Disney channel!!!!!!

What the hell…NO. Just–NO. A sequel over 10 years later is NOT going to work. You can’t bring back 90s magic.

Disney also own the ABC Network so the sequel could be for ABC or ABC Family channel.

Excited for this, but even if it doesn’t go well, nothing could ruin the original series for me. I hope they get Rider Strong, William Daniels, and Will Friedle back, and that other major characters from the series make frequent appearances. I do think that, tone-wise, the show would probably be a better fit for ABC Family, though.

99.9999999 percent chance this will suck.

They definitely have to bring back the voice of KITT!
