    why is she wearing her everyday clothes on a play? wtf

    @Carol:
    Plays are not always period pieces, they can be about regular people nowadays, that’s why. Not her clothes, just the character’s clothes :)

    Dead Accounts “it’s the hilarious story of a brother, a sister and the 27 million dollar secret that turns their surprise family reunion upside down.”

    So this means she can wear casual clothes too.

    I know it’s for the play, but I do think it is interesting that she looks as dumpy on stage as she does in real life.

    I do hope that her acting has improved – she was painful to watch in her last shot at theater.

    @Karen:

    I agree totally. When I saw the pics I thought–it is Katie Holmes playing Katie Holmes. No make up–check. Messy hair–check. Dowdy clothes–check. Ugly footwear–check. Pigeon toed stance–check. Fake, strained expressions–check.

    I also thought she was horribly painful to watch in All My Sons. Next to Lithgow and Weist she looked to be an amateur. And if she hadn’t been Mrs. Tom Cruise there is no way that horrible acting would have made it past the first couple of sentences in an audition. I was cringing in my seat she was so bad.

    There are so many extremely talented Broadway actors that need work, it is a shame that this no talent wanna be is trading on her fame via marriage to get parts she doesn’t deserve.

    I’ve never seen katie look so good in jeans! She is just too much gorgeousness at times!

    It is not Broadway. It is OFF BROADWAY! Huge difference. Why doesn’t Ms. Truth sue the media for constantly lying about her being on Broadway?

    @B.S.:

    what is OFF BROADWAY??

    danielle Says:

    @B.S.:

    Actually the theater is on 45th street between Broadway and 8th and I think that makes it Broadway.

    Well, do not tell mama and daddy,
    but I thought that I would dedicate this love song
    to you and to Tom Cruise.

    Maybe Connor will spin it for you both
    at his next party!!!!

    Good luck to you two getting back together, quickly.

    Can’t find the reviews anywhere!!!! I mean how did she do???

    Peapo Says:

    She’s taking the subway. She’s hiding Suri, she’s trying to rehearse her play. Maybe she just wants to be left alone. It must stink to walk down a busy street alone and have a bunch of jerks with camaras surround you. She just spent a few years married to Crazy Cruise. Let her unwind a bit.

    dee dee Says:

    @ danielle you are so right I heard the reviews on All my Sons katie is not a strong actress but her fame will bring an audience in time maybe she will get better

    danielle Says:

    @Sincerely concerned:

    I saw her in All My Sons. Went because of Lithgow and Weist whom I adore. Katie was a major distraction due to her horrible acting skills. One can only hope she has improved.

    PLAYED OUT - PUN INTENDED! Says:

    Linda Winer (Newsday) – “earnest and pretty, like a talented girl in a school play.”
    Michael Kuchwara (AP) – “a striking physical presence, although not much vocal variety”
    Ben Brantley (New York Times) – “Holmes missed the mark completely as she ‘delivers most of her lines with meaningful asperity, italicizing every word.’”
    David Rooney (Variety) – “Holmes handles her role as death’s messenger with neither distinction nor embarrassment. She lacks the technique to match her co-stars’ depths,…”
