Saoirse Ronan is way more talented than kristen stewart. it sucks that its from the twilight author. but with saoirse as the lead I trust it will be good. she was nominated for an oscar when she was a little kid for atonement and she was great in the lovely bones and hannah.

They have a money making template (Twilight) and now they are going to take out their sledge hammer and pound this one out over and over and over.

Ok, I’ve watched the trailer so now I don’t need to see the movie
Nice to see two young Irish actors take the lead in a blockbuster. Saoirse looks all grown up!

    COCO Says:

I liked the book very much and think that it was more interesting than twilight books. But i am disappointed with the casting choice. First, I absolutely dont like the actor playing Ian.
Then although i have no doubt that Saoirse is very talented actress, i don’t see her as Melanie, Wanderer yes, but not Melanie. She looks too young and her voice sounds childish. Melanie is supposed to be 20 something. There are actresses who are 17-18 and they look like 22 years old girls. But Saoirse looks younger for her age. I guess they choose her based on her talents not appearance.

I agree with your comments about the cast, especially the one about Melanie and Wanderer. Saoirse is a good actress but it’s quite disappointing to see the character come to life and looks nothing like she’s described in in the novel. Also…did anyone notice that Melanies little brother doesn’t appear in the trailer?
