*takes a moment to stop laughing at the harry potter fans who think everything is a copy of harry potter and cant accept they dont actually know what TMI is as they’ve never read it they just like to pretend so they can complain about CC*

I’m an author and im tired of seeing little kiddies talk about this plagiarism thing like they know what they are talking about.
Cassandra would not have been published if she plagiarised.
Especially not on such a high profile publishing company.
She wrote fanfiction for Harry Potter when she was younger, yes.
She didnt plagiarise from harry potter in the tmi series though. If she had im sure there would be a larger issue here.

Besides, all authors get accused of plagiarism, look at your precious j.k rowling if you dont believe me. Shes been sued plenty of times over this and that.
They arent the best written books in terms of prose but this just means the focus is more on the characters themselves and the plot. Some people prefer books like that. Cassandra never claimed to have ‘the best written book in the world’ im pretty sure shes took that critisicm on board and has worked harder for her other books (i know the infernal devices series is written better for a fact)

I dont think people understand how difficult it is to formulate a completely new and original book – its impossible. All books/movies take ideas from other books/movies.

So please children, get your facts right and formulate a coherent arguement before you comment immature things.

(By the way, hating on the movie because you dont like the author is unfair – the actors and the crew and producers have worked hard and that work shouldnt be dismissed just because of your (childish) issues with Cassandra)

I have a list of about 100 things the Harry Potter books and movies copied from previous popular books/movies such as Star Wars and Lord Of The Rings.
So all i have to say is.
Dear Harry Potter fans: Take your head out of your ass because Harry Potter was never the first and will not be the last popular franchise.
Obviously there will be similarities – they are of the same genre and are targeted at the same audience after all.

    Seriously. Just get over yourselves.
Sincerely, someone who is tired of HP being held up like its the bible.
