Leonardo DiCaprio Pursued His 'Django Unchained' Role

Leonardo DiCaprio suits up while filming scenes for his new flick The Wolf of Wall Street on Tuesday (November 20) at Prospect Park in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The 38-year-old actor’s Django Unchained director Quentin Tarantino recently talked to Playboy about how Leo got involved with the flick.

Leo and I have hung out over the course of 15 years, and he likes my writing and makes sure he gets a copy of scripts I finish to see if there’s anything that might float his boat. He got this one and really liked Calvin Candie,” Quentin said, adding that Leo called him to ask for the part.

    leo is a great actor.
but his personal life has always perplexed me.
he should have settled down by now.
instead of dating young models one after the other

Oh please, last picture set of him everyone still said he looked hot and young and all that. It depends on the make up he uses, and honestly i think he looks much much younger without it all when he’s all casual.

He definitely seems to be pursuing unlikable characters lately. Well, he’s throwing in Gatsby so the ladies can swoon.

News flash: Man Ages. *rolls eyes*
People you’ll get older too and have wrinkles and gain a bit of weight.
If YOU will change and can’t hold back the hands of time, what makes you think that Leo can? He’s a great actor, but I’m sure that he can’t suspend time.

    Leo Fan Says:

He looks great. Considering how he’s working hard these days with long hours, and he’s not 20 anymore, he looks mighty fine and the little wrinkles are only normal.

Leo on the cover of DETAILS Says:

Since ending his relationship with Victoria’s Secret model Erin Heatherton, Leonardo DiCaprio is free, single and ready to mingle, so how better to advertise his new relationship status than with an ultra-sexy and ultra-brooding covershoot?

‘The Wolf Of Wall Street’ star has graced the front cover of Details magazine this month, looking better than we’ve seen him in ages; clean shaven (asides from a hint of a Movember moment), dressed in a sharp suit and tie combo and staring straight down the camera lens and into our souls, it seems as if Leo Di Caprio is busily advertising his new single status in style
This month’s edition of the mag, as is clear to see, celebrates “the innovators, risk-takers and big thinkers who are changing the face of entertainment”.

Who better to include than Leo DiCaprio? After all, he’s starred in everything from ‘Titanic’ and ‘Revolutionary Road’ to ‘Inception’ and ‘Shutter Island’ – this is truly an actor who isn’t afraid to take chances with his career.

And, in the accompanying interview, Leonardo explains that he is happy to take on characters whom audiences will dislike. After all, when it came to ‘Django Unchained’, he was playing “one of, if not the most, despicable, indulgent, radical characters I’ve ever read in my life”.

We can’t wait to read what Leonardo DiCaprio has to say about the changing face of cinema…

    : ) Says:

I admire him for his talent and achievements
I think he looks good here
I prefer the inception and great gatsby looks though

    Fan Says:

Yes, he does look good and more mature. I wish he’ll take time before starting another fling with a girl. He goes so quickly from one to another without considering if he really likes her or not. There’s no shame with being alone, Leo. Better keep your dignity and self-esteem than going out with the first available bimbo around.

BTW, the Details cover is awesome!

@kelly when your a women, not a twelve year old girl, yes wrinkles are very sexy. Makes him look like a hot manley man,
