OlderCate Blanchett: Cinderella's Stepmother in Live Action Flick!
Cate Blanchett is in talks to join Disney’s live action retelling of Cinderella, according to TheWrap.
The 43-year-old Aussie actress would play the role of Lady Tremaine, the evil stepmother, in the Mark Romanek-directed film. She would be the first actor joining the project.

Chris Weitz has penned the script, while Simon Kinberg will be the producer on the project.
Cate can be seen next on the big screen in the upcoming film The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

They should cast Margot Robbie who plays Laura Cameron from the Pan Am series! She looks exactly like Cinderella and her voice & composure is perfect. :)
if disney wants to remake tim burton’s alice in wonderland and make it into 2.0 they should recast margot robbie and i think she’s the right alice who has blonde hair and blue eyes and mia wasikowska is the wrong alice who has darker hair and brown eyes and margot robbie is also cinderella
