Jessica Chastain Covers 'British GQ' January 2013

Jessica Chastain looks sexy in leopard print lingerie on the cover of British GQ‘s January 2013 issue.

Here is what the Zero Dark Thirty actress had to share with the mag:

On working with Brad Pitt in Tree of Life: “He didn’t have a huge entourage, nothing like that. He just showed up on his motorcycle on the very first day and went, ‘Hi, I’m Brad.’ You just heard the rumbling of his bike and he’d appear like James Dean, or Marlon Brando from The Wild One. He was kind, he was generous, he’d never heard of me but he never made me feel less.”

On her new film Zero Dark Thirty: “This film will make news. We all think we know how it ended. We don’t. And this movie is about how it really ended. It is shocking. When I first read the script, I was blown away by this woman. The sacrifices she made and what she had to do. It’s something I still get very emotional about. What happens when you live for this one goal? And then you achieve it.”

On being a redhead: “You Brits are usually so mean to your redheads. Why is that? In America it’s seen as a good thing. Look at Julia Roberts – she’s cool, right? I was working in Thailand and I’d be walking down the street and people – British people – would stop the car and scream, ‘ginger!’ at me.”

    Coco Says:

I always see her as a classy and serious actress. Even without this half nakedness she was a great actress. Don’t like when the actresses do this. In the movies it is Ok, but for magazines meh. And I am talking about serious actresses.

I HATE that all our serious actresses feel compelled to get half naked to promote themselves. It makes me sick that they cowtow to a Media obsessed with sex. Stand up for yourselves ladies! Have some self respect. Resist the imperialists male chauvinists!

    tims Says:

Tell that to very serious actress Jennifer Lawrence

    Josephine Says:

She doesn’t need this kind of attention. I hate GQ and their double standards. Why are men allowed to look classy on the covers in their fancy suits or shirts with ties and women have to get almost naked or they won’t be featured? They should boycott this sexist piece of garbage but I guess GQ is too popular and influential to even try.

    Coco Says:

@Josephine: Yes! You never see men pose shirtless or do half naked shoots for women magazines or other ones. But yet it is like an obligation that women actresses have to pose naked for men magazines! And this means they have no self-esteem!

@Coco she has to put all her eggs in one basket she broke through in Hollywood pretty late..she needs to reach as many audiences as possible to stay afloat

Too much photoshop, she is nothing like this in real life.
You guys are talking like she was hating doing those pics, come on!
Nobody put a gun in her head, she made those pics because SHE WANTED. Besides, she is desperate for attention, of course she loves to make these kinds of pics.
Wake up! she is one of the biggest famewh*res in JJ, she pays to have her pics here everyday and she is not even that famous. Only her stupid and blind fans can’t see this!

    DougW Says:

The reality in Hollywood is it’s important that studio execs think you’re sexy, otherwise you are not considered for a lot of big movies. Most A-list actresses do photo shoots like this for this very reason – Nicole Kidman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, Charlize Theron, Cameron Diaz – almost any actress you can think of, with few exceptions. Kate Beckinsale has said she wasn’t thought of as sexy in Hollywood for years, and she wasn’t considered for a lot of lead roles because of it. Jennifer Lawrence has credited her GQ photoshoot for helping her get parts she wouldn’t have gotten otherwise. If you want a career as an A-List Hollywood actress, it’s important, like it or not, that you’re thought of as being sexy. And if Jessica wasn’t perceived that way so much before, she is now.

HW really does mean selling body and soul if you want to get noticed. Just talent alone doesn’t cut it anymore.

    omd Says:

i think she’s overrated and bland.

    Chris Says:

Yeah, she was obligated to make this photoshoot, I can see this for the sad face she was doing in those pics. Oh, please!
You can see how much she “hates” been photographed when she poses for the paparazzi whom she is paying for. Nobody find her sexy neither attractive, she knows it and that’s the reason she has to make this pics, cause she is just an overrated actress whom no one will remember soon.
    You guys are so s.tupid!
