Evangeline Lilly and Cate Blanchett hit the red carpet of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey world premiere held at the Embassy Theatre on Wednesday (November 28) in Wellington, New Zealand.
The two co-stars were joined by cast mates Elijah Wood, Martin Freeman, Hugo Weaving, and director Peter Jackson.
On the red carpet, Cate rocked an Antonio Berardi gown and Roger Vivier shoes, while Evangeline debuted a brand new hairdo!

That doesn’t even look like Evangeline Lily?!! What happened to her, it’s like she aged overnight.
Very few except Cate B. can get away with wearing that type of edgy ensemble and not look ridiculous. Cate actually looks better than Evangeline age-wise.
I hate to say this, but Evangeline Lilly looks terrible. What is up with her hair? I hope it’s for a role she’s preparing for.

Evangeline looks like an ageing Naomi Watts which is funny because she is over a decade older than her.
I don’t think Evangeline Lilly looks bad, clearly this is neither the right dress or the right shoes, maybe not the right hairdo, but I think she looks quite beautiful and classy.

Benedict Cumberbatch will not be seen (as the dragon) until the 2nd movie of the “Hobbit”.
Perhaps we´ll get to see a glimpse of his dragon eye at the end of the first movie. I´m really curious!
And yes… in a few weeks JJ will have realised that Richard Armitage is the new star of this movie and he will show dozen of pictures and inform us about every single step this man does.
And RA won´t be too happy about it. So this is the calm before the storm….
Cate is so stunning. I liked her outfit. She is the best actress in the world. Her Galadriel is amazing !
