Gerard Butler: 'Despierta America' Appearance!

Gerard Butler suits up as he makes an appearance on Despierta America at Univision Studios on Tuesday morning (November 27) in Miami, Fla.

The 43-year-old actor, who was interviewed by host Karla Martinez, promoted his new film Playing For Keeps and talked about how he wished he was Latin.

“I wish I was Latin because everyone is from a different country, but there such a great camaraderie between everybody,” Gerard expressed. “All the women (Latinas) are unbelievably beautiful, and the guys are so fun. It’s a really nice atmosphere.”

    @Strings of Lights: and he didn’t just find major success 7yrs ago. He was cast as Andrew Lloyd Webbers Phantom in about 2002, and had already appeared in what at the time was the most watched miniseries eger, Atilla, the previous year. He’d already had success in the Oscar winning film Mrs Brown and appeared in two popular UK tv series back in the 90s. Success does exist outside the USA you know.

    I can’t find the link now but he left Miami to fly to LA. But someone else posted a tweet that said he was going to NY. We have to wait and see where he turns up.

    I do because he said it kinda worked. I also think when he said a bit, that in actuality it was very little bit. Most of his women live on scraps of his affection. It was probably the “google her” remark, as we all know MG loves to be known. I am laughing at the “if other people describe his type”. I would say that’s true because if there are no tall dark skinned women he’ll still find someone to sleep with and girlfriends in the past haven’t always been tall or dark skinned. Spicy. I hate that. Yeah, at first men call it spicy but as time goes on they call it b/itchy.

    @Rosa:

    She is very shapely. In the beginning he would call her voluptuous and in the end he’d call her fat.

    There is a huge difference in not knowing if your father is dead and your mother saying out right he is dead when she knows nothing of the sort.

    And omg, is that Miami video an SNL skit? Because if it’s not, it should be. LMAO

    Rosa Says:

    @Realist: lol. you are undoubtedly correct on both your comments

    Ask poor Gabriel look what Halle’s pit bull did to that beautiful face, it’s criminal,

    I for one want to say Thank You Gerry for carrying your own bag. I was taught we should all carry our own weight (baggage) in this world and it says a lot about people who despite their status in life chooses to do so.

    hump day Says:

    What if some people make a living carrying your luggage like porters at a hotel or airport I prefer to handle my own luggage but the porters often give you dirty looks esp in airports in countries where the standard of living is not North American. Praise the lord for curbside check in.

  12. 62
    DocP Says:

    @hump day:
    That may be true in other countries but its not as big a deal here in the US. I do allow hotel personal carry my luggage to my room when I’m in Vegas because they do make I living doing it. I always tip the standard 1 to 2 dollars per bag unless I won a lot then I tip more, spreading the love:)

    The end Says:

    JMO, and I could be wrong, but based on his behavior of late, and the answers he’s giving in interviews, I think they are done. If they’re not, if I was dating him I would get out now, because the handwriting’s on the wall. He’s talking and acting like a single guy, and there’s no reason for him to pretend to be single for the movie. The elephant in the room is the amount of time they are NOT together these days. I bet that remark he made about doing something extreme in his last relationship was when he asked her to go to Iceland on the spur of the moment, because he said in the MJ article he usually doesn’t go to those extremes (can’t remember the word he used now). He said “last” relationship, not “current.” If she hangs around after all this, then she’s not real smart. He’s a player and always will be.

    80sGeorgeMichael Says:

    @The end: I think you might be right. Could be why he told that interviewer to google her as well, because now that he’s on his way out, he’s not going to help her anymore. If he was involved and cared about her, he would have helped boost her with that article. He had a perfect opportunity, but he was dismissive and didn’t want to even say her name.

    This is the same BS that the same person has posted over and over and over under different monikers. No one who comments here knows the man well enough to analyze him. Besides, it’s not the problems we have that matter, it’s how we deal with them.

    Some people use GB’s life as an excuse to let others know what a rough life they’ve had. Well, haven’t we all. That what life is, Mary Sunshine. Suck it up, get on with it, and save your half-page posts for your personal journal.

    Being thumbed down for telling the truth. Has to be either dumb man or dumb woman because if you think it’s not true then you are delusional!

    Realist Says:

    @Ornaments:

    How nice for you to insult ALL the people who have posted personal things! GB isn’t on here so it’s fair game to analyze him. The people here on the other hand have shared, not having a parent for example. Some have been more fortunate than others and even if we haven’t, we have something called empathy!

    “GB isn’t on here so it’s fair game to analyze him.”

    It’s not a matter of fair game. It’s a matter of knowing what you’re talking about.

    “The people here on the other hand have shared, not having a parent for example. Some have been more fortunate than others and even if we haven’t, we have something called empathy!”

    It’s a gossip site about GB not about posters sharing their fortunes, misfortunes or empathy.

    If you want a stitch and ***** club, then you need to start your own “sewing circle.”

    @Ornaments:

    You’re a sad person. Friends should be able to share relevant things that has happened to them in comparison to G. It is only through our experience s that we are trying to understand what made him who he is.

    I like my hot male celebrities screwed up. It makes them interesting as people….and actors.
    Who wants perfection?
    Prince William is a very nice man but he is SO BORING.
    Give me GB any day of the week.
    HOT!!!!!

    GEEZ! Says:

    @Saveyourpity:

    People react differently to any given situation and it’s not fair to judge one person’s trauma to another’s. Gerry lost his father not once but twice and that makes a huge difference in how much he would be affected. Even men who go to war are affected differently to what they go through. Some get PTSD and some re-adjust more easily. Men especially have different enmotional levels and Gerry seems to be more senstive than the average male.

  24. 74
    Biddyboo Says:

    Gerry classifies people immediately by their race. Imagine what his black book must say about the women.
    Asian – coy, discreet,
    Brazilian – stunning, free with their bodies
    Blacks – strong and forward

    Blah blah blah

    Looks how he speaks of people in the Telemundo interview. No depth. What a turnoff. Generalities are a way for someone to avoid getting mentally close.

  25. 75
    Hmmm Says:

    @Terrible Twos: R u 2 or 22? Doesn’t matter. The Butler would do you as long as you are not over 32.
