Chris Evans: 'The Avengers' Up For Visual Effects Oscar Nom!

Chris‘ superhero movie, The Avengers, is among the ten movies vying for an Oscar nomination under the Visual Effects category, according to USA Today.

The Dark Knight Rises, Skyfall, The Amazing Spider-Man, Cloud Atlas, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Life of Pi, Prometheus and Snow White and the Huntsman are also up for the coveted five spots.

The final nominations will be announced January 10, 2013 at 8:30 AM EST at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Los Angeles.
