OlderGarrett Hedlund: 'On the Road' Screening for TheWrap!

The 28-year-old actor is featured on the cover of Interview Magazine‘s latest issue and talked about the research that he did for the role.
“I told Walter [Salles] that I wouldn’t do another film until we did On the Road,” Garrett said. “So I had a lot of time to do my own research—to go up to San Francisco to City Lights bookstore, to watch video interviews of Neal Cassady with Allen Ginsberg, to sit in Vesuvio [Cafe] and visit Jack Kerouac Alley, to go to the Beat Museum and things.”

This guy is really talented, he’s just got charisma and he’s got the ruggedly handsome, manliness that a lot of younger actors just don’t have these days. I saw him in Country Strong first and thought to myself, this guy can act and sing, he’s fun to watch too.
