Reese Witherspoon and her husband Jim Toth support her son Deacon at his soccer game on Saturday (December 8) in Brentwood, Calif.
The 36-year-old actress was joined on the sidelines by her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.

The day before, Reese was all dolled up while attending the 2012 March of Dimes Celebration of Babies, where she was honored with the Grace Kelly Award.
On the same day, Ryan was seen doing some shopping at American Rug in Los Angeles.

Poor Ryan looks exhausted – he must be beat from flying back and forth between Louisiana to direct and star in his new movie, and Los Angeles to spend time with his kids. Kudos to him for doing it though – I’ve always admired how he and Reese are so hands-on with their kids. And Reese and her husband look cute in these pictures.

@K: Ryan’s Louisiana film wrapped the first week of November. I imagine the editing work is being done now. Ryan and Deacon were shown purchasing a large Xmas tree this week so it looks like a big celebration at the Phillippe homestead.

@Pattycake: That’s good to hear! Weird though – Entertainment Tonight published a feature on the filming of Shreveport on November 29, giving the impression filming was still underway as of late November. When did it start and finish filming?

I always enjoy seeing pictures of Ryan. The other two, not so much!
@K: ET tweeted when they were there in October. Ryan was in Louisiana for a long time, casting and getting pre production stuff done. I think it started filming in late September and finished around Nov. 9. A couple of the cast and production members were tweeting while it was under way.

PR goes along way in this business. It is very obvious after all these years that Witherspoon’s side did the better job of creating a tale and a persona that will forever been in the minds of the general public.
Keep in mind that Hollywood is nothing more than a fairy tale, characters are created, then characters fall to the wayside and die.
