    Celine Dion Says:

Cruise has always been one of the most overrated actors of our time. He also overacts in every film he makes. It’s also impossible to see the character when he is on screen; he is always Tom Cruise on screen.

He is also extremely creepy. One of the creepiest actors of our time. Glad his career is in toilet. Karma is a real thing. His cockiness and arrogance seeld his fate. His career is basically over. Eventually, he will just be offered Mision Impossibe films. It is over for him. Has been for a while. O-V-E-R.

    @Jessica:

don’t you think it is a little soon to forecast world wide hits of movies that haven’t hit the theaters yet. Tom Cruise is an awful Jack Reacher. The film will appeal to his fans like you. But to us die hard Jack Reacher fans it is a travesty that this 5’7″ actor is playing the 6’5″ XXXL Reacher. Read the books and you’ll see what we mean!

This film looks typical action Tom Cruise–in other words Tom Cruise playing Tom Cruise. That is what he does best.

i wonder why anyone would think his career is over…because his wife left him? really? or because of his religion; can’t be that, he has been a member of that religion for most of his career…lets get real, TC career is far from over…he is one of the biggest stars in the world and that is not going to change anytime soon…

    If You Say So... Says:

Looks like Cruise’s PR people and scieno people are out in force.

“he’s the biggest movie star in the world”

They keep saying it in every post, but fail to realize that because THEY think he is doesn’t mean the rest of the world does. He’s crap in the US, UK and Australia. As info about him continues to leak, he looks worse and worse….and another book is coming out and another documentary is being made. Uh-oh. Cruise’s PR people and scientology minions are gonna have to work extra hard!

@ If You Say So Says:

I don’t like Tom Cruise, but there is absolutely no denying the amazing longevity of his career, the fact that his movies are almost always very big hits, and that he is one of the most recognizable stars in the world. He continues to be a box office draw and Hollywood continues to clamor for his presence in their movies.

I totally understand that folks dislike and even loathe his personal life, but if he is not the biggest star in the world, he’s darn close to it. Accusing people of being Scientologists because they recognize that fact is an amazingly weak argument.

    Only Two Options Says:

I choose option 3 – A person who enjoys most of the films Tom has acted in (TAPS, The Firm, A Few Good Men, Jerry McGuire, etc) and I shouldn’t be labelled as PR or a Scientologist because of it.
I try to keep my personal beliefs (politics and religion) to myself and respect those whose views differ.
Tom is an actor, and I enjoy his acting, I am not choosing him to be my husband, father of my children, counselor, etc.
I know the professional and personal lines get blurry when it comes to entertainment, but to do the same things that you complain about (bullying, arrogance and meanness) it seems just as wrong.

Yup, agree with you…I have no time for any religion but separate the two things…I dislike some actors but can’t deny if their films are entertaining. The people who are the most disrespectful of others religions are those that hold one themselves…could never understand that.

    Mouse Says:

Anyone have an idea as to the twist in this one?
My take: the aliens succeeded; they kidnapped certain human soldiers and brainwashed them into thinking they’re working for humans when they’re actually doing work for the aliens who are continuing with extracting vital mineral s etc from earth. only a small band of non-brainwashed survivors (Morgan Freeman etc) remain.

    Jennifer Says:

I LOVE Tom, but this looks like it’s going to tank in the box office. Jack Reacher looks like a hit, but this looks boring. Just my 2 cents…

    AvaKnows Says:

I’ve only paid to see 2 Tom Cruise movies and they were both awful. I’ve never paid to see his movies again. And that was years before he made a fool of himself jumping on Oprah’s couch. Only his action movies make money so he’s not a serious actor. At this point, I think people that still like him are stuck in the 80s and go to his movies because they think they should. 3 out of his last 4 movies tanked. Lions for lambs, Knight and Day, Rock of ages…

  19. 19
    Nah Says:

@AvaKnows: you mean 3 out of his last 6 movies which is still incorrect….
Rock of Ages (2012) – $75 (Budget) $56 (Box office)
    Ghost Protocol (2011) – $145 (Budget) $694 (Box office)
Knight and Day (2010) – $117 (Budget) $261 (Box office)
    Valkyrie (2008) – $60-$90 (Budget) $200 (Box office)
    Tropic Thunder (2008) – $92(Budget) $188 (Box office)
Lions for the Lambs (2007) – $35 (Budget) $63 (Box office)

Looks more like 1 out of 6 tanked, at the most Knight and Day and Lions for the Lambs may not have met expectations, but they didn’t tank. Especially, Knight and Day, it doubled budget.

If you don’t like Tom Cruise nor his acting fine, but numbers don’t lie.
Tom Cruise is an successful actor, internationally known and still very bankable.

    Oli Says:

I dont agree with Tom Cruise’s personal lifestyle either, but I find myself loving every movie he makes. Maybe that is what being a good actor is all about. You forget the person behind the actor and enjoy the movies he plays.

    You’re a pretentious moron, #3.
