Amanda Seyfried Talks Sex & Channing Tatum with 'InStyle'

Amanda Seyfried looks gorgeous in a Chanel dress on the cover of InStyle‘s January 2013 issue, on newsstands December 14.

Here is what the 27-year-old Les Miserables actress had to share with the mag:

On her Dear John co-star Channing Tatum: “Channing was amazing. He’s a superstar. Everybody wants to have sex with him. And the only person he wants to have sex with is his wife, Jenna [Dewan]. He’s the most loyal husband.”

On dating actors: “The thing is, I can’t date anybody without it being portrayed as a serious relationship in the tabloids. It sucks! Like Josh Hartnett and I were friends; we hung out, we dated. I don’t actually have sex with every male I come into contact with… I’m just more attracted to actors. I like their choice to be artists—that’s ballsy. And a guy who has such access to his emotional life is sexy. Or maybe because lots of the actors I know are so broken. I don’t think I’m compatible with anybody I’ve dated. Maybe I’m so attracted to actors because I’m not ready for the “settled down” thing yet.”

On having obsessive compulsive disorder
: “I’m too measured and controlling—about everything. That’s why I take Lexapro. It’s for OCD. I don’t feel like I’m struggling with it. I think OCD is a part of me that protects me. it’s also the part of me that I use in my job, in a positive way.”

Ummm… I don’t what I should think about it. Why she talks about her sex life?

# 2

She still comes off as the stupid Karen Smith…

hmmm – i guess i am in the minority in thinking there’s nothing special about Channing Tatum really. Nice guy but….

Anyway, she gives me a taylor swift vibe when it comes to dating. It IS possible to date alot without going all the way each time, but when you are famous the assumption will be that you did (unfortunately).

I’ve had sex with Channing.

I think she may have been a bit too open. Especially about taking medication. Personally, I would never talk about those kind of situations, definitely not to the “public.” But I guess she’s comfortable with it… Whatever.

Jennifer Aniston is DEFINITELY pregnant. Her baby bump is splattered all over papers in the UK. JJ, get the pictures. You are slow.

I have never liked her, but i really liked this refreshingly honest interview. Its rare actors talk so frankly about relationships and attraction and what doesn’t work for them in this industry. And I think its very important for celebrities to open up about taking medication for mental illness. There is such a stigma still surrounding mental illness and to see someone talk honestly about it and see that they can still lead a highly successful life is important to debunk myths surrounding mental illness.

There is nothing special about her, although she started in some decent movies. That is why she didn’t make as a leading actress in showbiz.

What, you have never like AS? I think she is currently the best young actress at the moment – even better than Anne Hathaway. She is good at playing the femme fatale role. I honestly think she is going to be a power name in the near future.

I feel like she has a hard tie understanding the concept of marriage.
It SHOULD mean that you only have sex with your wife…

Why is she so surprised by it?

I feel like she hit on Channing even though he was married and he let her down… and that makes me not like her.

Amanda… you dont have anything special… first thing you have to do us learned how to sit down…

As aa person with anxiety disorder I have to say that I feel really happy for her – She has a mental problem and she’s ok, she can live normally and have a great carreer.

@Coco: nothing speacial? she is a speacial thing so shut up please ! her movies are all successful and she always plays the lead she is the best actress and she’ll become even bigger !!

Seems sweet although I always get the feeling that she is not the sharpest tool in the shed.

I don’t like her cuz she’s a girl basher. Every time I read an interview of hers, she just bashes other girls. Obviously, she’s very competitive with girls and it makes sense why guys are the only ones she hangs out with. First interview of hers I read, she said she always thinks “Ugh, why is she on the cover”? We all probably do this, but actually saying this in a public interview regarding your peers? Smh. Second interview of hers I read, she said she hates all of the girls Dominic dates and tells him so. I’m sorry Amanda, the world does not revolve around you. Her acting is actually decent, but it’s hard to like her with the stuff she says.

As someone with OCD, I am slightly offended..I am pretty sure most people suffering from a serious psychological disorder would not say it protects them and us a positive thing..She seems to be taking pride in having a disorder (if she does in fact) which does not seem healthy to me. I don’t want to be too sensitive, but I think comments like that just feed the stigmas and oversimplifications of mental disorders.

Great interview. I like how honest she is especailly regarding her OCD and anxiety issues. It’s truly refreshing to see a young actress in the spotlight talk openly about such things without shame and she is still having a successful career.

@anne:
I’m pretty sure the girl bashing part every girl does that lol some in private so are open about it

I did want to have sex with Channing when I was 14-17. 5 years later I don’t. I think he’s overrated. He seems like a nice guy but he’s not a good actor and he’s not as hot like he was 7 years ago.

I agree that she is a too open sometimes, but why the medication thing is bothering you the most? I don’t think admitting to having some disorder or taking medication should be seen as shameful, as something you should hide from the world. She has OCD, she takes medication, good. Talking about it might make it easier for some people end I’m not talking about the emotional level but the practical, everyday stuff. With disorders like bipolarity, OCD, ADD etc come special patterns of behaviour and it’s easier to just admit it right away than become the subject of gossip or unfair judgment (I have OCD myself).

@Ellen: haha i also dont think channing tatum is that special but i will say that if he cranked out his moves for me i dont think i could resist myself i just love a man that can move

Is the bug-eyed sl*t saying she tried to seduce Channing Tatum, a married man? She has her reputation for a reason.

She tried to Tap that. He turned her down!
