Jennifer Lawrence!!!!!!!

# 2

No Stewart ? ahaha, sorry, it’s a joke :) OF COURSE, NO K. STEWART! Take acting lessons, sweetheart.

# 3

I’m so happy to see Jen on the list! You go girl. I wish you all the best and I cannot wait for Catching Fire. May the odds be in your favor!

# 4

Congrat’s Jennifer!!!!!!!! Golden Globe tomorrow.

# 5

Thrilled to see Jennifer Lawrence make the list too. I’m also thrilled about Les Miserable. It looks fantastic on the previews! — I cannot wait to see it.

# 6

Happy for Marion Cotillard and Les Miserables!

# 8

Excellent, Jennifer! Keep up the good work, and stay humble as usual.

I’m happy to see Lincoln made the cut. I really enjoyed the picture. Les Miserables looks really good.

# 9

Oh yes, baby. Jennifer is on the list!!!! Congratulations…

Nice comedy picks too!

It is going to be one crazy year for movie awards!

stop fussing over this awards don’t mean anything at the end of the day it’s about the work. it’s the newest award show for actors first held in 1995. some of the nominees may not even show up or leave early when they lose like Paul Newman wanted to in 1995 when he lost best actor in a motion picture to Tom Hanks but he stuck around to cheer for his wife when she won best actress in a mini series or motion picture made for television for breathing lessons

@Ellen: why even bother bringing up her name, people seem to do it on every post that is about nominations for awards. she is not trying to get nominated and thinks the rumours about her wanting one are ridiculous

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/12/10/kristen-stewart-oscar-on-the-road_n_2270461.html

Great noms this year! Helen Mirren, Sally Field, Nicole Kidman are some of the all time best, but especially nice to see Jennifer Lawrence there. Young talent should be recognized and supported. I think we’ll be hearing from Jen long after the gossip queens *coughstewartcough* are long forgotten.

@J: Yes, yes! I would say the same thing if I knew that I was a very bad actress and I had no chance.

OK, NO STEWART – OBSVIOUSLY. BUT WHERE’S GARRETT HEDLUND? HE’S F-CKING AWESOME IN ON THE ROAD

Marion Cotillard for the win!!!

nothing for THE MASTER?

Where are the nominations for the Master, Amy Adams and Joaquin Phoenix.

@J: You believe this??? She’s trying to save face. I don’t blame her actually.
@Courtney No, awards probably don’t mean much at the end of the day but for young actors a nod of encouragement from your peers is a great thing. You don’t think it means anything to Jen to be on a list next to Helen Mirren? If the industry spent more time supporting quality films and young talent instead of mindless summer blockbusters and tabloid queens, we’d all benefit.

Wow, I like many of these nominations. Congrats, Jennifer. I’m personally happy to see serious actors being nominated, rather than the overpaid, overexposed, and rather pathetic leads I see sometimes.

For the record, I saw Anna Karenina the other day and I really enjoyed it and thought it to be fitting for a nomination of some kind.

Wow, two noms for my fave actresses Kidman and Smith! And I was blown away by the nominations for Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. It was a great movie, but didn’t think it was getting buzz for nominations. It is a film that deserves to be nominated! Thanks SAG for recognizing it.

The Master was really good. Unfortunately, some critics were really harsh if I recall correct –so perhaps that sentiment proliferated. Who knows.

glad to see Lincoln on this list. If you have not seen it, go watch it. Same goes for Silver Linings Playbook.

I love the movies!

Go Jennifer, Go Marion, Go Anne H! How nice to see recognition given when it is due. Good luck to you all.

Congrats Anne H. !!Amy Adams deserved a nomination too…maybe tomorrow with the GG she’ll get it!BIG YES for Jennifer Lawrence!!So young and so so talented…really glad to see her rise!

Wow, good to see some really deserving woman receive the noms.Go Anne! Go Jennifer! Go Marion! I wish I saw Les Miserables already, from the previews the performances appear solid. Go get em girls!

Go Jennifer. Everyone has his or her favorites. You and Anne are mines. I wish everyone luck!

jeff daniels deserves it, it’s been a long time coming.. but no emily mortimer? (i recommend watching the newsroom.. if you haven’t already)
and i cannot stand jessica chastain? so i’m all for jennifer lawrence wining it, i just seen J.C on chelsea lately and she came off like a real b&tch and i don’t really think she’s that great of an actress.. meh!

Go Helen Miren. I am happy to see the torch being passed down… like seeing Jennifer Lawrence. The girl can actually act unlike most of the other younger actresses out there.

Go Anne H. I wonder if she automatically wins because she cut her hair for the role… just wondering.

Jennifer Lawrence vs. Jessica Chastian? TOO HARD TO CHOOSE! I guess I have to root for Jennifer Lawrence because she’s so fantastic in Silver Linings Playbook.

Go Jennifer! I saw Silver Linings Playbook and it was a joy –strong performance!!!! Anne H. seems like a serious contender too I cannot wait for Les Mis…

What a strong list of nominations. Go Jennifer!

I loved Lincoln and Silver Linings Playbook so far this year. Nice to see them on the list.

Django Unchained’s guys??

I saw Silver Linings Playbook in the film festival in Hawaii, and I’m so glad I did. A huge surprise, solid performances.

@Ellen: she is not bad actress but she isn’t a great actress either. she is an ok actress and she would not have been cast in the film on the road if she could not act.

Woop, woop. I loved Lincoln! Something tells me I am going to love Les Miserables… I hope I’m not wrong.

Even though I like Kristen I’m tired of her fans attacking Jennifer for no reason.

@22: all the comments about jennifer are nice

They must’ve been hard up for another “comedy” show if Glee was nominated. So many other choices.

Where is Chris Hemsworth??? :(

Joaquin Phoenix should’ve been nominated!

Happy about Kidman’s nominations… she totally deserve it… she made a wonderful job in both films!!!

So happy for Nicole. She deserves the nomination and hopefully a win. On other post, it was stated that Nicole’s nomination was a shock. I don’t understand why people are shocked by Nicole being nominated. She is a great actress. The only problem is people refuse to watch her films. If this is a perfect world, she would be nominated in almost all her movies and probably win more than what she actually has. The only reason she is not nominated most of the time is because nobody saw her films. So it is rightful that they should campaign hard for every Kidman movie so that people especially those who vote watch them because she is a really great actress. She gives life to every character she plays.

@Luiza: who didnt see from a mile away that k.stew promoting On The Road ruined garrett hedlund’s chances at being nominated for supporting actor this awards season? oh wait, everybody saw that coming lol. poor guy, i guess thats what happens when you associate yourself with a talentless trampire – bad luck written all over her.

Kidman is by far the most surprising choice of the bunch, considering her film (The Paperboy) has garnered only a 39% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and has grossed less than $1 million since it opened in October.

“This acknowledgment from my peers (of my constant, behind-the-scenes pleading phone calls) means everything to me,” Kidman said in a statement. “I love (fame) acting. I love actors (myself). This has absolutely floored me (because my ruthless campaigning actually paid off). Thank you so much!”

NICOLE KIDMAN ! THE BEST ACTRESS IN THE WORLD . TRUE TALENT FINALLY GOT RECOGNIZED DESPITE ALL THE LASHING THE PAPERBOY GOT ! SO PROUD OF YOU ! ALSO SO PORUD OF ZAC FOR TAKING PART IN SUCH AN AWESOME MOVIE !

Poor Amy Adams … The immediate surprise of note is Nicole Kidman’s nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category for “The Paperboy.” The actress’s PR wing engaged with a SLEW OF INTERVIEWS with THE PRESS late in the game. But then screeners came late, so that she managed to rally enough support to PUSH OUT an apparent favorite like Amy Adams in “The Master” is hugely surprising, particularly for a film this divisive …

“This has absolutely floored me”, Kidman said in a statement. Calculating Kidman feigning surprise when, in reality, she has aggressively promoted herself to practically every blogger with a film website.

some peple here are very pathetic! why do they have to talk about kristen stewart if they don’t like her! and her name wasn’t even in this “article”..
maybe you don’t like her but your are kind of obsessed with her..
she didn’t do anything bad to you, and when you don’t like a person (even if it’s for stupid reason) you don’t talk about him/her! so SHUT UP

Yay for Jennifer Lawrence, Ty Burrell, Helen Mirren, Bradley Cooper and Modern Family!! Sad, they miss How I Met Your Mother (and Neil and Cobie..) Thanks, no Kristen!!

I’m happy for Marion! she was amazing in Rust and Bone and really deserve this nomination! Matthias Schoenaerts was amazing too, maybe better than Marion and it’s too bad he wasn’t nominated, but I know why, he’s not american and is unknow in Hollywood, but maybe someday his talent will be recognized.
Anyway, go Marion!

I say, this year true talents are nominated, great stuff

It’s going to be such a stiff competition in the actress/supporting categories they all have delivered really good performances.

No Quvenzhané Wallis? What? That kid was only six and had never acted before, but managed out act people who have been in the industry for years. Glad to see Marion & Jennifer on the list though, the deserve it.

NO “THE MASTER”?
RUBBISH,

ANONYMOUSE @ 12/13/2012 at 11:04 am

@Kate:

To quote you: “The only reason she is not nominated most of the time is because nobody saw her films.”

All the judges see all the films; they are the ones who vote. It has nothing to do with box-office, but performances, or great movies. Kidman’s lack of popularity amongst the masses has nothing to do with awards noms.

ANONYMOUSE @ 12/13/2012 at 11:09 am

@BO:

Climb out from under your rock; look at Kidman’s bio and you will see that she has been recognised for a very very long time, with many awards under her belt; not just “finally” now.

Are you sure this list is correct? Christopf Waltz is nominated for best Supporting Actor as well as Leo DiCaprio…and I cannot find them on here.

Wow… My best friend Abigale has just announced her wedding with a handsome millionaire shortly after they met on~~~ diàmondkissing Ćoм~~~ 6 months ago. This is a dating site where you can meet rich successful men and classy gorgeous women such as CEOs, athletes, doctors, lawyers, models, celebrities, etc….Maybe you can take a try…utu6

Jeff Daniels should win the best Male Leading in Drama.

@..: They’re not nominating her because the movie, they’re nominating her because the character… it doesn’t matter if the movie is good or bad… The Iron Lady last year got very bad reviews but Meryl Streep won the Oscar… So there’s not doubt she did an amazing job in this one!!!

StrainAsylum @ 01/25/2013 at 1:12 pm

I don’t “get” 30Rock’s inclusion in the SAGs. It’s not even close to the others nominated, such as Glee, Modern Family and The Big Bang Theory. And Alec Baldwin, for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy TV Series… He’s a fine performer (“Malice” from way back is still great), but not that funny. Haven’t seen “Louie” and only saw “Nurse Jackie” once, so I have no room to address those. Much funnier actors in TV series.
