Tom Cruise: 'Jack Reacher' U.S. Premiere Postponed Due to School Shooting

Tom Cruise makes an appearance on El Hormiguero to promote his new film Jack Reacher at Vertice Studio on Thursday (December 13) in Madrid, Spain.

Earlier in the day, the 50-year-old actor attended the premiere of the film with his beautiful co-star Rosamund Pike in Madrid.

It was recently announced that the U.S. premiere of Jack Reacher would be postponed following the elementary school shooting in Connecticut.

“Due to the terrible tragedy in Newtown Connecticut, and out of honor and respect for the families of the victims whose lives were senselessly taken, we are postponing tomorrow’s Pittsburgh premiere of Jack Reacher,” Paramount Pictures stated yesterday. “Our hearts go out to all those who lost loved ones.”

Guns are dangerous.
But they’re not EVIL.

Hard to believe he’s 50.

# 3

what has he done to his face? He has looked very different over the last month.

# 4

@TSquared: it’s called aging naturally

Respectful thing to do.
Sad, senseless, sorrowful and soul aching tragedy.
May the families and friends of the victims find strength as the days pass and the pain and grief of their loss find peace.

Out of respect for the families and victims my rear-end. He’s worried people will be too busy watching the news instead of going to his damn movie. Tom, you are a jerk.

# 7

He looks like he’s carrying an emptiness and a sadness since the split. (I know that sounds stupid)

@#6: Calm down dear…yes they more than likely are worried, but Tom just stars in the movie…its a business decision, decided by the studio..and a wise decision i might add…

Sounds like a studio decision to me that being said I doubt it was going to win box office over The Hobbit anyways.

@JANEKAY, Couldn’t get any calmer if I tried. I agree it’s a business decision. No one will be going to his movie right now so it won’t make money. You bet it’s a business decision not to show it right now. They can’t have Tom’s movie flopping.

Yeh who cares about the victims kids ! Bei g shot to death! By a what
Is in that movie SNIPER! Terror is a the theme all movies when
A movie comes out that has a theme like that they cancel it!

Nothing to do with Tom at all! How many movies got cancelled premieres
Over some stupid killing. Finding out that the shooter was mentally illBrother and mom knew it too! So what the victims families could care
Less right. Showing a movie about senseless killings!

“stupid killing”?!?! Are you kidding me?

You win the award for being the most insensitive, stupid, obnoxious, babbling moron of the day.

Very wise decision by the studio. RIP to all the victims affected by this terrible tragedy.

On a lighter note… some is shorter than Tom Cruise!!

TC is a legend

Tom Cruise reminds me of Steve Mcqueen

He didn’t make that statement and he’s not in charge of the premieres, #6.
