Katie Holmes Rains on 'Dead Accounts'!

Katie Holmes keeps herself warm while braving the rain for her Broadway play Dead Accounts on Sunday (December 16) in New York City.

The day before, the 33-year-old actress was seen heading into the theater with her daughter Suri, who hid her face behind a stuffed animal.

Earlier this week, Katie was all dolled up while attending the 12-12-12 Concert for Sandy Relief to help raise money for those victims who were affected by the hurricane last month on the east coast.

FYI: Katie is wearing rag & bone‘s Newbury boots.

So tired of this twit! Sit DOWN, Katie Holmes. You’ve now divorced the reason you’re famous.

  • TSquared

Well she certainly is raining on Dead Accounts–the 12/9 revenue was down 25 percent from 12/2. If things don’t get better the play will close early most likely.

I hope that having a job to focus on will help make her more self-confident and get her back on track to being more normal. :)

  • Thornton

Actually TSquared revenue for 12/9 was up $26,356. The gross dollars for Dead Accounts has gone up every single week the play has been out. Broadway has struggled recently, with several plays closing early, but so far her play has continued to make small strides forward. And DB, are you really trying to convince people Katie Holmes is not normal while you continue to worship that crazy,Scientologist nutcase Tom Cruise. TOM Cruise is more cocky and full of himself than any other celebrity around and it hasn’t made him normal in any sense of the word. And I don’t mean that in a good way, he is completely insane. If I was you I would worry more about ways Tom Cruise could become more normal. Katie and Suri will continue to get more normal and healthier the longer they are away from Tom Cruise.

  • Dead Accounts Revenue

    Revenue – 12/2 – 12/9 – up $26,356
    Seats sold – 12/2 – 12/9 – down 2022
    Ticket price – 12/2 – 12/9 – $60.44 – $91.60 (average ticket)

The ticket price accounts for the higher gross; doesn’t make sense otherwise. You can’t sale less seats and increase revenue without a significant jump in ticket prices (appr. 51%)

So, unless there is an increase in tickets/seats sold, DA will have to count on the higher ticket price in order to meet or increase revenue.

Sorry I meant difference between tickets sold from one week to the next. A 25 percent drop is not good. For any play. Any actor. I don’t think it is all Katie’s piss poor performance, I think the play itself is more an off-Broadway offering and is not well written. Katie as a celebrity actress is losing her draw potential since her divorce. And there have been plenty of poor celeb actresses on Broadway in the past, Katie in the present and I’m sure there will be more in the future. Amanda Peet was very bad in Barefoot in the Park, but had Sarandon to make the play shine. Katie has, for the general public, the focus of the attention since the rest of the actors are not that well known outside NYC theater. Katie needs to stick to small screen (TV) that is where she shines. She lacks the power, skill and charisma to be a stage actress and lacks the acting skills, charisma and raw talent to do movies. There is no shame in doing good solid television and she needs to realize that!

ALL Tom’s bad luck started when he met the starlet Kathy Holmes and his luck has now started to rise again since they split. Look at Ghost Protocol!
Good on you Tom. I wish you all the best and do What you do best, acting and ignoring the little people who hate you. It is easy for you to do that as you still have people wanting to see your movies.

And for those common people out there, I am Catholic.

It takes talent to have made so many films and to have stayed in the spotlight and to have major directors seeking you out to star in their films.
    I am a big fan.

I coldn’t agree more, TSquared! She might be sweet and good enough for soaps but she’s far from being an actress.

  • Dead Accounts Revenue

    Revenue – 12/2 ($410,308), 12/9 ($436,664), 12/16 ($337,545) – down $99,119
    Seats sold – 12/2 (6789), 12/9 (4767), 12/16 (3561) – down 1206
    Ticket price – 12/2 ($60.44),12/9 ($91.60), 12/16 ($94.79) (average ticket)

So, it looks like DA will have to count on the higher ticket price in order to meet or increase revenue.

A full Broadway run is looking doubtful.

    NYFW – Fail
    DA – Fail
    BB – ?
    Seagull ( and other post-production movies) -?
Return to the Buckeye state for the win!

  • TSquared

    @Dead Accounts Revenue:

It is definitely tanking big time. Lost another 15 percent in seats making it a 40 percent loss for the last two weeks and lost $99k for the week. Must be distressing for the actors to play to a theater that is more than half empty!

  • Sincerely concerned

@TSquared: I am still totally baffled at how evidently u can’t get more “skilled” by more training, coaching, classes etc. Call Me Clueless!

  • Amanda

I am in the back of the 4th picture! WOOHOO!

  • TSquared

    @Sincerely concerned:

there is only so much you can do when you have limited skill and talent. I don’t know if she works with or ever has worked with an acting coach. I’m sure Hammie or Annie could address that.

  • Sincerely concerned

@Thornton: Umust have some inside scoop. Does she seek out coaching, training, classes etc,???
