Tom Cruise: 'Jack Reacher' NYC Premiere Postponed Due to School Shooting

Tom Cruise flashes a smile as he arrives at a taping for The Late Show with David Letterman at the Ed Sullivan Theater on Monday (December 17) in New York City.

The 50-year-old actor is in town to promote his flick Jack Reacher. The flick was scheduled to premiere tonight, but was postponed due to the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

“Out of respect for the families who lost loved ones in Newtown, Connecticut, we are postponing tonight’s event,” a statement from the film society read. “We extend our love and condolences to you. Our community grieves with yours.”

The Pittsburgh premiere of Jack Reacher, which was scheduled to take place last week, was also postponed in light of the devastating events.

Tom looks good in these pics In the papz pics from mid-late summer he looked like he had lost some weight and appeared a little gaunt.
With his divorce and the death of Tony Scott it was understandable, but it looks as though he is feeling better now.

    pr person Says:

Hmmm… so because he worked with those actors, he is a ‘living legend’? Good to know… that means that most of Hollywood must be living legends. If an actor has been nominated but… NEVER won an award… that also means he is a ‘living legend’? Interesting….
Iconic characters…? Famous lines? These are also part of your criteria for a ‘living legend’? Amusing.

  25. 25
    RP3 Says:

@pr person: @pr person: Hes starred in over 15 classic films, and does all his own stunts (tallest building in the world) that makes him one of the top 10 movie stars of all time, which equels legend jealous troll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
